This cute library is located in the lobby area of the Plains Art Museum in downtown Fargo. It is accessible any time the museum is open and since the museum is free, there is also no charge to access the library.
Indoors, the library has no doors or windows. It is a simple bookshelf with two shelves. The shelves are quite stuffed with books. Overstuffed, in fact. Mostly hardcovers when I was here thrillers, fiction, romance and the like. All sorts and plenty of them.
The online listing has the steward's name and email address as well as this caption, "To create our library, Museum Preparator Frank McDaniels recycled a crate that had been used to transport works of art. We are placing it in the main lobby of the art museum, and it is one of many social engagement projects included in our Summer 2014 exhibition, Living as Form (Nomadic Version)."
