I have frequented this location many times but after my visit today my jaw has not left the floor. Very clean and well-organized establishment, every employee greeted us with a smile, and they carry an amazing selection of items ranging from clothes to kitchen and household items and even full-sized furniture. As you walk in you can recognize the work they do to help the community and even share lovely pictures of their partners and staff. Its always a pleasure to shop their selection I never leave there empty-handed ( usually I leave by the cart-full haha). read more

Found it to be a place to find low cost clothes and many other things a person might need for their home. They had clothes some in even the larger sizes many looked almost new and some even name brand.I think its a great place for a person to shop that is on a budget. read more

This people here are dishonest and unethical! First, they had this "50% off 4th of July Sale" posted on the board. Naturally my bf and I thought all of the items are 50% off. So I when I got quite some stuff on the checkout and they told me the total, I was quite shocked. My bf behind me (we separate our bills) asked about the 50% off deal. Then the cashier said "that's only for 4th of July stuff" and we were disappointed. That's POINT ONE. Well, it's a thrift store and I figured oh it's okay, it's charity and things were not bloody expensive and partly our fault for not enquiring properly first. So they swiped my card and my bf said he had a coupon 20% off the purchase. The cashier said he already swiped the card and he couldn't do anything. FINE. I assume it's our fault still. (although I learned after that is as long I didn't signed the receipt they couldn't do anything about it). HERE's the pissing off part: My bf bought couple of stuff about $17. He wanted to use the coupon then the old lady said "you have to purchase at least 20 dollars" My bf was so pissed off because I bought my stuff for like $60 and they couldn't even overlook the few $$. PLUS THERE IS NO SUCH CONDITION WRITTEN IN THE COUPON. I generally dislike arguments and creating a scene. So I gave my bf the look before he starts arguing his logic. Anyway, we learned our lessons and these people clearly don't want repeat customers. My bf said we will never ever go there again. Arc Attic Treasures used to be one of my favorite thrift stores in the Fargo-Moorhead area. But after my experience with the store's staff on Saturday, I will never shop there again. My boyfriend and I were excited to find a nice armchair at the store. We wanted to make sure no one else snagged it while we shopped, so we went to the register to ask if the staff could hold it for us at the counter or put a note on it explaining that it was taken. The woman at the register was curt with us when we made our request, saying, "No. We don't do that here." OK, we said, we'll buy it now, take it to the car and then come back and continue to shop. Once outside, we tried to get the chair into the car, but it simply wouldn't fit. Feeling disappointed but having no other option, we went back inside to ask if they'd be able to refund our money. Here's where things went downhill fast. We approached the same cashier and asked if we could return the chair since it wouldn't fit in the car. "No. We don't do that here," she said snidely. We asked if the store would be able to make an exception, since we'd literally bought the chair minutes before, but she continued say no in a harsh manner. Then the manager got involved. Both the cashier and the manager continued to be aggressive in their approach, beginning to yell and say we were causing a scene in their store. The manager finally said, "You can leave the chair here and pick it up tomorrow" (we'd been expecting them to say this all along) and started filling out a hold form. At this point, my boyfriend calmly said, "I just want to say that we feel we're having a poor customer service experience right now." At that, the manager started shrieking and began pointing her finger right in my boyfriend's face, saying, "You will NOT come into this store again!" Then she says she's going to give us our money back, just so we get out of the store. The cashier pipes up, saying, "They don't DESERVE to get their money back." (I'm just totally shocked at this point.) The manager then tells us we WON'T get our money back and that we WON'T be leaving the chair overnight, going back on things she had just said she'd do. She then walks out from behind the cash wrap, screaming at us to get out of her store. She even threatens to CALL THE POLICE on us, and FOREVER BANS US from Arc Attic Treasures. As if we'd ever go back. She then opens the door and motions for us to leave the store, yelling, "Get out!" repeatedly while blocking the exit at the same time. We managed to get out of there, though she got much too close to us on the way out. Regardless of what the store's policy on returns is, there is NO EXCUSE to treat customers with such hostility, disdain, anger and inflexibility. If an exception really can't be made, that's fine, but the staff should approach such a situation with a helpful attitude. A simple, "I'm sorry, we really don't allow exchanges. But what we can do to help is ..." would have made the day turn out entirely different. For a charity, this place is a joke. read more

I bought a stroller two days ago, for $20. When I came home, it didn't get folded. Took it back and ask for store credit...I knew they don't accept any returns...but they said no...they only accept electronic stuff for return. What's the difference? I don't wear the stroller, I don't wash the stroller, I don't chew up the stroller. A $20 item is a very high priced one in the store, but still they don't want to make any adjustment...not even a half amount store credits...disappointing. I understand that they need money for helping people in need, but refund/ exchange is the very basic sales moral, isn't it? read more
