When the best version of that type of store closed in the Fargo-Moorhead area 10 years ago, two of their employees (Paul and Bret) embarked on a new venture that would become Flatland Guitar. One has to travel to the Twin Cities or beyond to find a comparable shop. Besides offering first-rate lutherie service (which I have used several times), Flatland has a broad and deep variety of quality new and used acoustic and electric instruments to cover the gamut, from beginners to professional players, including guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, mandolins etc. You can also checkout an impressive array of pedals, amplifiers, cables, strings and other accessories. Not only do I highly recommend Flatland, I have purchased several guitars from them, including my Taylor 810 and most recently a Maton acoustic/electric; Flatland is one of only 17 U.S. dealers of these fine Australian guitars.
