Careless movers who damaged several items and showed absolutely no concern for doing so... not even a "sorry". I asked the movers about the first two issues and their response was "it was already like that" (i.e. we didn't do it). That was a flat-out lie as the damage was caused by them. It seems that their policy is to simply deny responsibility and if you don't have pictures to prove the damage you are just out of luck. There were other issues but by then I decided it was pointless, I just wanted them gone. The final bill was DOUBLE the estimate, with many highly questionable "add-on" charges that I felt at the time, and still do feel, were a complete scam. I wanted to file a complaint, but frankly, I did not know who to complain to. I created a Yelp account just to speak out about how terrible this company is. My advice to stay far away from this company. My opinion is that they are not trustworthy. Neither with the proper handling of your belongings or with an honest bill at the end. My opinion is that The Apartment Movers is a very shady company and you should avoid them and go with literally anyone else.

Besides offering first-rate lutherie service (which I have used several times), Flatland has a broad and deep variety of quality new and used acoustic and electric instruments to cover the gamut, from beginners to professional players, including guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, mandolins etc. You can also checkout an impressive array of pedals, amplifiers, cables, strings and other accessories. Not only do I highly recommend Flatland, I have purchased several guitars from them, including my Taylor 810 and most recently a Maton acoustic/electric; Flatland is one of only 17 U.S. dealers of these fine Australian guitars. Mr. Gruber and another employee were working on guitars the whole time I was there but still happy to answer any questions. Most of the guitars there were built or modified; stuff that I had never seen before. He gave me a really good deal on a Jackson and I'd definitely like to buy one of his original guitars one day.
