The yellow box stands on two supporting posts and has a proper shingle roof. The single door has a rather rusty latch to keep it closed. Inside the box, a jumbled collection of mostly hardcovers that looked to be children's and young adult books that have been liberated (released?) from a local library as they still have their shelf labels on them. Nothing that really caught my eye today though the "Extreme Mountain Biking Moves" would probably crick my neck even reading about that sort of gravity defying fun. Hard to miss as it is painted a farm barn red with yellow trim and stands on a yellow post. It looks like there might once have been a plexiglass window but that's gone. The door is secured by a latch. As it's is here in the picnic area, it should be mostly okay from the elements. Three shelves inside, divided into Adult, Teen and Kids. Unfortunately, it's just a big jumble today. But free books are free books and that makes it A-OK. There is parking in the park and there are picnic tables nearby if you'd like to sit and read. When I got to the cash register to pay, I was told none of the items on display are for sale until August 1st. Nowhere is there a sign that says that, nor did a single worker let me know for the 10-15 minutes I was standing there going through it and adding all the items to my cart. I'm so disappointed in whatever marketing scheme this is. Do better.

A plain white t-shirt that still has a tag showing it was on clearance at Walmart for $1... the store thinks is appropriate to Market up to $6 And then you'll see a graphic tee photo that was sold at the original store for $5, but the Salvation Army decides that they need to Market up to $8. I understand there are overhead costs but thift shops are suppose to be less expensive than the original store! Thifting is a necessity to some, fun to some, and for anyone looking for those unique pieces. I will go to other shops, not SA.
