The condition of the comics was 50/50. A few books I wanted had some heavy edging to them. The spines were not in the best shape but that was just the ones I picked up and looked at. I made an exception for the ones I bought because I try to never go into a store and not buy at least one thing. Always trying to keep the indie comic places around with one book at a time. They had a decent mix of new releases, pre-owned titles, and a few nostalgic gems tucked into the shelves. The store was a bit tight and packed, but it had that familiar GameStop energy--posters everywhere, consoles behind glass, and shelves full of gear. Staff were friendly, chatting with other customers about games, which gave it a chill, community feel. We didn't buy anything this time, but it was still a fun little stop. Solid four stars.

But yesterday we found , or finally noticed , this beautiful mid century modern teak 4 panel chinoiserie screen. The dealer was amicable to our offer and came right down to remove it from their display. We went up the street while they did n came back shortly to find it ready and one of the owners of the mall offered to even give us a blanket to pack it in our vehicle but we were fine. We were also offered to help with loading, but we were fine again. They're friendly in here and have a really broad selection for collectors of every level. But ya gotta dive in ! We know we walked past the screen we bought before but sometimes if you're looking for something in your minds eye, you don't see other things. Yesterday we were looking for chinoiserie and zeroed in right on it.
