I'm sure you have all seen the little free libraries all over your communities. I typically see…read morethem in front of houses or businesses on walkable streets. If you're not familiar, the little free libraries, are little cabinets that resemble little houses, inside you'll find books. You're encouraged to take a book and also leave book, for someone else to find. You might find kid's books, cook books, college textbooks, whatever someone might be willing to part ways with. Well the other day, I was at the Connecticut Post Mall, in Milford. When I came across the Little Free Library. This is a physical location, just like the tiny ones, where you can take a book and leave one. There is no one working here. They have a rug, some comfy chairs, and adorable art work on the walls. This is all targeted towards little kids. I was here with my friend. She found a book for her son and I found one for my class. We didn't take any of the books because we felt guilty that we didn't have any to leave behind. The little free library's mission is to have books accessible to everyone, everywhere! This is such a wonderful way to encourage readers everywhere to keep reading!

It's nicely painted with a pretty red and the bookcase was loaded with a variety of books. It's worth a stop after visiting the nature center and walking the trail (with an awesome boardwalk).

I was waiting for the coffee shop across the street to open when I spotted this library that is in…read morethe front of the school. It is a white library on a single post. White trim and white roof, it's easy to spot against the greenery and the brown paint of the school. Inside, two low shelves that were packed with mostly children's reading. Lots of magazines and light reading, excellent considering the location. This library does not appear on the Little Free Library map or database, so I don't know who the steward might be. Inside, only a couple of books and as I expected from this location, the are all religious-based. Not that there's anything wrong with that - people are welcome to stock their libraries with whatever they like. There is street parking nearby and a comfy bench where you can sit to read. Perhaps needing a fresh coat of paint but clean and dry inside, this box is on a single post with a translucent panel on the single door. Inside, a very neat stack of books, mostly paperbacks. The online caption reads, "The Trinity College Neuroscience Club created this Little Free Library Read and Seed and put it in the Community Garden across from the college."
