I worked at this nursery for about four months and recently left due to concerns about communication, workplace culture, and consistency in following procedures.
In my experience, communication from management was often unclear. When my employment status changed, I was not given a direct explanation despite multiple attempts to ask for clarification. This made it difficult to understand expectations or next steps.
I also felt that training and guidance on important standards, including TRS expectations, were not always clearly communicated at the beginning. This led to confusion and stress when expectations were enforced later without prior clarity.
There were times where I observed a lack of consistency in routines, staffing support, and documentation (such as logs for activities like snack time). This created challenges for staff and, in my opinion, could impact the overall environment for children.
I experienced the workplace as high-stress, with frequent schedule changes and concerns about staffing levels. Some interactions with management felt discouraging rather than supportive, which made it harder to feel confident in the role.
I want to acknowledge that the facility itself was generally clean and organized, which I appreciated. However, I believe stronger communication, clearer training, and more consistent support for staff would improve both employee experience and the overall environment for children. read more
