However, the 2nd visit, the tacos were half the size. Also, the sopes had VERY little meat. Chips & salsa were flowing on the first visit, but we barely got a 2nd bowl within the 20 minutes it took to take our order . The jalapeño margaritas are FIRE! There is a back room that can be reserved for parties and it has a nice view of the water! Overall I like this place, but would prefer to get my first visit experience each time. The lady inside wasn't paying attention to the front so she didn't turn around and look up from her phone until one of the patrons asked if he could jump in front of me to ask for a sauce. I ordered a poke bowl, a spicy garlic shrimp bowl, and a small pork fries, which came out to about $60 after tax and tip. I then waited for about 25 minutes for my food. Now the food itself - honestly? It was quite bad. Bad enough that I think the folks giving it 5 stars are ones who think pepper is spicy and adding a seasoning besides salt is doing something. I could barely take more than a few bites of the poke before I was hit with that fishy taste you get from thawing out frozen filets not meant to be eaten raw. Maybe they can ask some of the other poke spots where they source their ahi because theirs don't give off that ocean aroma. The pork fries would have been good if the fries weren't dripping in oil - they were soaked in it as if they put the fries in oil that wasn't hot yet (either that or they re-fried previously fried fries). Either way, I picked off the pork and ate that, even the gelatinous membrane that was in there too. Now you really can't mess up garlic shrimp.. or can you? The shrimp itself was well cooked and tender. The sauce was VERY salty (maybe some unsalted butter could solve this?) and they were pretty light handed with the garlic, which is disappointing when you're expecting an island style serving of GARLIC shrimp. And what was with the rice? It was cooked with so much water or milk that it was basically eating porridge. Disappointing is probably the best way I can describe this. Maybe this is the best Hawaiian food in Sequim but drive a little out of town and you can do so much better.

I've never had Loco Moco before, but it was delicious. It smelled a little strange, but tasted nothing like it smelled. It seems like a good ingredient ratio. The barbecue pork bun was good, just like others I've had. The pork hash dumpling was good and moist, but not as flavorful as I expected (I've never had one before). I'm sure they're not easy to make, but I would definitely not pay that much for one again ($3 each on DoorDash). The mango milkshake is vanilla with pieces of mango blended in. It wasn't a lot of mango, but was just enough to give it a mild mango flavor. Overall, it was nice, but too expensive to get often on DoorDash, and has a $3.99 delivery fee.

I stopped in to talk with someone about how this works and the staff member was very helpful and patient as we had not done this before. He went over a checklist of how we wanted parts cut (chops, package weight, etc.). Three weeks later, we are stocked with all things pork! Packages are clearly marked with contents and packaged so they can go right into the freezer as is. It was a very easy and smooth process from start to end. The facility is all business--refrigerators with many choices of various smoked meats and an open butchering (?) section that can accommodate lots of staff to do what they do and a small office. We didn't buy any of the smoked meats when we picked up the pork, but my husband went back to buy some landjaeger out of curiosity. It was delicious! Not sure how to describe it--a toothy, meaty better than your usual beef /pork jerky. So, we went back another day and spent way too much on smoked salmon, teriyaki pepperoni sticks and many, many more packages of landjaeger. I really enjoyed the white salmon because it was less salmon-y/fishy (I'm not a huge salmon fan); husband preferred the red King. The teriyaki pepperoni are way too easy to eat and are not overly sweet. It's more like essence of teriyaki which I very much enjoy. I can't wait to try more of their products!
