Delilah is located in beautiful former banking halls right in the city centre in Nottingham. The…read moreplace has proper artisan feel, with the front selling craft foods and drinks, and restaurant in the back and top area. The menu has a few good options - so choosing only a few was quite hard! The service wasn't the fastest, but the food itself was delicious and definitely worth the wait!

My cousin suggested my mum and I head down to Delilah for a birthday lunch out in Nottingham - and…read moreI'm so glad we did. It reminded me a little of Bills (or how Bills used to be when it sold more fresh produce...) as it's juggling lots of different angles - deli/ farm shop/ grocer/ bakery/ café etc... and with all these different things going on, it could be accused of being a little confused, however I really enjoyed the vibe here - it was buzzing. There is a larger eating area upstairs away from the bustle and hustle of the deli and produce sections, but for me, we were in the best place right in the centre of the action - right next to the fresh baked bread section (freebies and the aromas cooked bread; perfect!). The menu is well thought out and all gives the impression of a fresh creative chef behind it. I went for the chicory, blue cheese, smoked venison salad - because I just cannot deny 3 things I love to eat all in one dish! It was delicious - admittedly not massive; it would probably classify as a large starter but for lunch it was actually a good size (my eyes are too big for my tummy!). Mum was delighted with her omelette meal which was a bit more hearty (and I had a mouthful and if I hadn't been so taken with my meal I would have had full blown food envy!). It's not really cheap (about £10 for a lunch main) however it's worth the money and I was more than happy to pay it for such a well thought out and delicious meal. Thoroughly recommend this place!!!

So nice we ate there twice. Friday night two weekends ago, we popped into one location (across from…read moreBroadway Cinema Cafe). I got the honeyed aubergine- lovely but I wish I would have known they were fried as I avoid fried food. My husband's chorizo and salmon risotto was plenty but the flavour was not amazing. The Australian waitress could have been much friendlier but the best part of the evening was the atmosphere- great 60s rock playing at just the perfect volume in a dimly lit interior. Perfect for relaxing. I ordered a glass of the house white and it was AWFUL so another waitress we had kindly too it of the bill. The next night we popped into the other location around the corner where the bottom floor is even smaller (although there is a spacious second floor). Again, super cozy and this time we had a much nicer waitress. I just got the soup as I was not really hungry but it was delicious. Again, great soundtrack!

Shame we'd eaten earlier as the menu looked really interesting! But what surprised us most was that as soon as we sat down, my husband's favourite Eurovision song started playing! They also seem to have a sister place round the corner on a street brimming with places!

Edins Deli Cafe - Way too much mayo. Just a sea of mayo and chicken. I might as well have asked for the bread and mayo chicken separately.
