It was this very store that opened my eyes to a variety of cream cakes. It was only when I moved away from the Derby area, did I realize it was a regional specialty. For many years I would return and devour a huge selection of their cream cakes to make up for the times there has been a drought. My favourites include their cream bun, trifle, vanilla cream slice, cream meringue and apple puff. They also do confectionary, breads and savoury pasties/pies.
