My wife and I were just walking downtown in Antigonish and we saw this cute little place. We decided to stop in and check it out and we were blown away by the service and the food was just incredible. We will definitely be stopping in next time we're in province. What a sad experience. The gentleman seating guests and acting as the waiter was disorganized, slow and absent minded. It made me wonder if it was his first night or filling in for a friend. The Kafti, tabbouli and babaganoush with pomegranate yogurt has to be one of the worst dish I ever ordered in my life. The Kafta meat was barely seasoned but cooked right. The tabbouli/quinoa salad reminded me of the one Costco sells. I would bet they don't make it themselves. The babaganoush and the pomegranate yogurt didn't taste fresh at all. Way too much zaatar on the plate to fill up empty space. The lasagna was average. Not much seasoning. Plain pasta and plain tomato sauce. Good portion. The kids pizza was good. The dough tasted fresh and made in the restaurant. Go for pizza i guess. read more

Had lunch hear today. The staff were outstanding, so friendly and helpful. They had many tips for our trip on the Cabot Trail. The food was excellent they make their bread in house so you HAVE to order something that includes bread soooo good. We had the Cape Grilled cheese and the fish cakes both wonderful. Really cute restaurant! Can eat in (was nicely decorated and clean with a big booth to accommodate our family of 6) or outside (several tables for 2). Food was excellent! One of our orders wasn't what we ordered, but was tasty nonetheless. Pizza had super delicious dough and cheesy garlic fingers were fantastic too! Absolutely horrible experience this evening at Little Christos. Waited over an hour and 30 minutes for just our cold undercooked and overcooked food. My rice was cold and hard, my scallops were mushy and inedible. We ordered 5 different entrees and not one of our meals were edible. The staff was not attentive to their customers. Made our experience absolutely horrible. We came here to celebrate Valentine's Day and instead left with empty stomachs. Please no one try this place. Not one individual asked if they could get us anything else or how are food even was. After 2 hours of sitting here we have not eaten a thing. Totally at a loss as to how this restaurant is still in business. Please save yourself the time & eat at home rather than going here. read more

Great pizza joint in an unlikely place! The wife and I had the artichoke dip and it was to die for. Big portions, full of flavor and cooked flawlessly. We haven't had a good artichoke dip in a long time and this really hit the spot. The pizza was good. I had the traditional Christo's Combo and the wife had the Marguerita thin crust and not only was the crust was done well, the sauce was good was as well. My wife loves Parmesan and they were accommodating. They're pricey, but the food was tasty and amidst a very limited selection. If you're in the area, eat here! read more

Two of us cam pe in, looking for lunch, at 1:30pm, on a weekday. We waited at the front counter to get menus, and picked a table. There were two other small groups lingering over their leftovers, seemingly waiting for their cheques to eventually arrive. After 15 minutes, the waiter took our orders. Another half hour after that, I got up to find someone to see if we could at least get our drinks (2 water, one plain coffee). The waiter said she was "just getting it now". She brought one coffee, and one water, and I asked he for the other water. By now, there was another couple in the dining room, who were given their beers quickly. Five more minutes pass, I approach the desk again. I can see three kitchen staff, there may have been more, plus the waiter. I asked if maybe the food would be coming soon. I was told that they were just getting it ready to go in the oven, and that couldn't I see that they were short staffed. I have no idea what their desired staffing levels are. I asked if this was the regular wait time. No answer to that was given. I cancelled the order, as I had to be somewhere. she huffed that it would be out soon, and that I should still be on time. I see no reason to wait for an hour for a meal, to devour in five minutes, and then rush out. Lunch should not be an all afternoon ordeal. We saw zero food delivered to the dining room in out time there. I again asked if this was normal service standard. She was very rude, said that she didn't know me, and therefor didn't have to answer. That was a weird non sequitur. Should Inhave told her that that's because she's not from that town, and I am? We got delisious pizza up the street at The Wheel. Five stars for the wheel. read more

Great place for lunch. Absolutely outstanding Greek salad. The felafel was unusual, but I liked it, esp with all the baba ganoush and pita bread. Our waiter was terrific. Very attentive and fun to talk to. He gave us good advice on what to order. Pizza-jones can strike at any time... so on a Sunday night when most restaurants here are closed, my friends and I were grateful to find Little Christo's open. Their decor is bright and cheerful, and it's quiet enough that we could talk together without shouting. Our pizzas arrived quickly, freshly made and piping hot.... This is the best restaurant I have ever been to named little christo's. unfortunately for this particular little christo's, it is the only little christo's I have ever been to. Compared to restaurants that are not named little christo's, this place is not good. I brought my cat here on his leash, with his two pet hamsters of course, and the owner told me that I couldn't bring in food from off the street!!! Off to a bad start but I thought I myswell give them a chance. I tied my pets up outside and proceeded to order my food and theirs. I asked what devin (my cat) wanted and he told me he really really really really really really really wanted sweet potato ginger citrus soup. The head chef came out from the back, grabbed me by my collar, looked me right in the eyes and said, how but I put some of that soup in your cars gas tank and ghost ride it off the Canso Causeway! I was appalled! Especially because I'm training for the Tour de France and haven't owned a car in a year! Strike 2 lil crispy's. Finally I got my food, a small pepperoni pizza with no pepperoni. It was actually ok, except that the cheese was actually that fake snow that you put around your tree at Christmas. I was able to stomach it despite the owner standing over me the whole time I ate, demanding I get on the roof of the building and shout that the food was good to all of Main Street as soon as I finished my meal. As I was leaving, I noticed that the door mat smelled especially vile, kind of like human fecal matter. Strike 3 little cryptos. My pets and I will never return! Get better! read more

Boy do I ever want to love this place. The problem is, every time we go, it is like eating at a different restaurant. The only thing consistent about this place is that sure enough, something will go wrong. I have been perhaps 4 or 5 times and there has not been a time when everything has gone right. Some of the varied mis-haps: - uncooked fish - one person in a large group got the wrong meal, and then waited until the rest of us were done eating before their actual meal showed up -- this has happened twice - appetizers and meals brought out all at the same time - ordered a meal, got an appetizer - The thin crust pizza varies from AMAZING and with a crunchy thin crust to being just like anyone else's regular crust (Lil Christo's regular crust is enormous - think 3 inches on the crust end!) - ordered a pizza and only one of the toppings ordered ended up on the actual pizza - sometimes the restaurant just decides to close early - so you can't really trust their opening hours. Service time has usually been better at lunch time, with the exception of the one person who never gets their right meal on time. At dinner, we wait quite a while before the first thing shows up, but sometimes this is exacerbated by the appetizers not being brought separately. It really takes the enjoyment out of the meal when you wait 45 minutes and then have your appetizer and meal placed before you all at the same time. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. They seem to be "doing their best" and are very apologetic for mistakes. In some cases, meals have been comp'd when they just didn't show up until the rest of the group was done eating. So, your visit will be a game of Russian Roulette: will the food come? will it be what you ordered? will it be cooked? will it come all at once or spread out? Who knows. But something will eventually come and, when it does, it will be quite tasty (if it's cooked). It really would not be hard to move this up to 4 stars, maybe even 5, if only the answers to those questions could be the right answers every time. read more

Came here with my girlfriend for date night. She had the raveolli and I had the Lebanese plater. The raveolli cost 20$ and was only six small pieces of raveolli which weren't even good nor were they filling. And the Lebanese plater I had was terrible. Only bright side was nice server. Hits the spot if you're looking for a place to dine while in Antigonish or after 18. Incredibly underwhelmed! We went in for supper on a Tuesday. Arriving before the supper crowd. After sifting through the overly busy menu, we settled on their gourmet grill cheese ( menu said bacon, poppy garlic mozzarella and Black Forest ham). It took 50 mins for our dishes to arrive which were over cooked, burned and lacking everything but charred bread and burned cheese. It had one slice of burned bacon and on half of the sandwich one 1/2 slice of ham. Seriously the worst thing I have ever been served at a restaurant. I only ate half of it. After having to wash our hands in the washroom due to no place setting or napkins, we settled our $26 bill and went the the burger joint down the street to actually eat. May be good for Mediterranean food and pizza, but I question how they can butcher a pretty straight forward grill cheese. read more
