I'm a firm believer of you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case…read morehere. We thought buying a pool through a retailer and dealing with a salesman and professional installers would make our first pool buying experience hassle free. I was wrong. The salesman sold us the completely wrong heater (gas) after we clearly stated we needed electric and even discussed the hookup we would need. Once we saw the wrong heater was delivered we were told we'd have to pay an additional $800. Mind you this pool package was bought in October and has been paid in full. Fast forward to install. Had to call them numerous times to get delivery scheduled. Was told they tried to reach us. No calls were ever received. Now delivery day #1. Installers arrived late. Dug out everything then stated ground was too wet to install. Okay, no problem. That's Ohio weather and not their fault. Was told they'd get ahold of us first thing in the morning to reschedule. Waited until noon the next day never got a call. Finally CALLED THEM and was told install would be today. Delivery day #2. Was told the installers would be here between 8-9am. Then was told it would be closer to 11am due to a "mechanical issue." Here we are at noon with no installers, no phone call, and unable to get ahold of anyone. DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Would've been easier to buy a pool online and install it ourselves for FAR cheaper.

We purchased a hot tub from Ohio Pools and Spas (now Ohio Hot Tub and Sauna) five years ago and it…read moreis still working perfectly, and we have had many positive experiences with the business. Since 2021, we have worked with them for regular maintenance, service calls, questions about balancing chemicals, purchasing supplies and more. They are knowledgeable, kind, patient and accommodating. They offer a free service for you to bring in a sample of your hot tub water and they analyze it in the store and tell you exactly what chemicals to add. That was immensely helpful when I was getting the hang of the new hot tub. I highly recommend this business. They stand by their product and provide support to the customer for years.

Everything was great when I purchased my hot tub, but unfortunately, the advice I received…read moresubsequently primarily benefitted Ohio Pools and Spas at my great expense. After several years of use, I inquired about having the tub drained as I was then not using. I was discouraged from doing that and was told that it didn't cost that much in electricity to keep it running, so I followed that advice. I just had the hot tub hauled away as both the controller pad and manual jet controller broke and the cost to replace/fix was too expensive. I received my electric bill after the hot tub removal and my electricity usage dropped substantially. The cost of the chemicals to maintain, replacement of the hot tub cover, electricity to run and eventual removal of the hot tub were all expenses that could have been avoided had the tub been drained and left for future use. Sharing this experience to save others from falling into this pitfall.

We've been members of this club for a year now. And it is now time to decide whether we will Renew…read moreit or not. But honestly, our biggest complaint is the MUSIC! You know how you go to the gym and you wanna get pumped up for a high energy workout? ? Well that's kind of hard to do when they have soft jazz or old slow country music blasting. The worst music ever! I mean, I'll put in my earbuds and that sleepy sleepy music is still blaring. There are other people complaining about it every time I go in. Somebody's gotta get a better DJ than the manager that they have that's picking out the music.

I'm going to give it a chance but Mentor doesn't have a good reputation for making things better. Anyway, I like the club b/c it isn't usually crowded. I attribute that to it being expensive, which is okay. Unlike other posted reviews, I've had no issues with the staff. They're young but other than saying hello and "have a good one" when I leave, I've had no reason to interact with them. I like the variety of machines although many are pretty dated, think Nautilus. But there are literally tons of free weights. The clientele slants older, not a lot of goons staring at themselves in the mirror, like so many other gyms. Many of the cardio machines need replacing. There are five racquetball courts and six indoor tennis. Full court basketball. Small indoor running track. Indoor pool is nice. The hot tub is usually nice and hot, the steam room is nice and the sauna is real hot. I've never used the outdoor pool. Also, the hours are 5am-9pm and they close early on weekends, so it has to work with your schedule. I like the included classes, especially boot camp. Cleanliness is acceptable but room for some minor improvement here and there.

If you want to wait a year for a pool and have the company from the top down lie to you go with…read morethis company. We bought (IN FULL) a pool in June of 2020. Here we are in June of 2021 and we don't have a pool installed. it has been a horrible experience and for the most part I completely blame this store and the poor management. The issues began when they supposedly sold us a pool that wasn't in stock. They wanted to return our money and we could try our luck next year. That wasn't happening, again we paid the cost in full, we did finance. Then the manager said as long as we were ok with waiting thill this year we would be first on the list. Well that clearly didn't happen. Why you might ask, cause the store didn't tell the install company the correct date of our purchase. The store did call us and say hey they are installing pools let us drop off your pool (minus one part we still don't have), that was almost 3 month ago. When we contacted the installers (which was a cluster %^$* in itself) they said the store lied and they weren't installing yet. Which also turned out to be not true exactly. They had us as buying our pool in December and were not installing pools bought then yet. We ended up calling corporate and they initially were great. They got someone out to install within a week. But the store fails again, they had not properly told us of the space requirements for the pool. So we had to adjust the placement of the pool, which meant the installers ended up hitting roots. So we had to get someone else to grind the roots out, and the installer treated my fiancé very rudely cause we wouldn't let them just install the pool closer to the fence (which is against building code). We had the roots taken care of within days, and now the installer says at least 2 weeks maybe more, but the ground has to stay dry. Now corporate isn't even being helpful. This is an over 10K purchase that we have waited a year for. Sadly it seems all of the issues originate at the store. But I know for sure the dishonesty and half truths have me livid. I would rather they have been honest from the start and admitted their mistakes, I would have been upset still, but not like I am now. We have filed a claim with the BBB. I doubt the company will be able to resolve this issue in a manner that will result in me having a positive opinion of them.
