Security stood down so I chalked it up to standard practice and testing procedure for possible emergency purposes. The test was administered by a cheerful woman of Asian descent. She asked me questions, many questions, enough questions that it took up the majority of my time spent with her. I'm having this reoccurring thought that my eye will someday find itself in a biology jar next to long leggy things. Then the clipboard came back out but it was handed to me and I had do some of that reading and writing stuff and that went well. So after another exchange of paper and pleasantries with the receptionist, I was off to run the long hallway gauntlet of white, with doors and people stuck to the musty new halls sides as if they were painted to it.

Unfortunately, I was not the only one with an 8 am appointment. The technician opened the door at 8:28 am and did not have the proper information for any patients, which incurred further delays. She shared that she is only covering for today; she is not normally staffed at this location. Tamekia (the technician) was very professional, calm and kind - this was the only saving grace. For the past two days, I have been calling to schedule an employment-related drug screening, and each time my call is sent straight to a recorded message instructing me to leave a voicemail. I left multiple messages and never received a single call back. This is a time-sensitive matter, as my testing coupon is about to expire. I even escalated the issue by calling the New York office number provided by LabCorp's Corporate Headquarters, yet no one picked up that line, either, and then the line automatically dropped. The complete lack of responsiveness is unacceptable and shows a serious disregard for customers' time and needs. I highly recommend using other services instead of LabCorp, as they are completely unreliable. I have never left a review on Yelp, so I don't know how to give zero stars in my feedback; otherwise, I would have done that!

Once we located it that's exactly when the craziness started. Upon entering the building, I located what floor Quest was located on. It was so scary because the building is desolate. I didn't think the elevator was working. There was construction going on but not really. I literally had to walk a long ass maze to get to Quest. There were various doors leading you to different places. When I finally made it to the "office" there were only patients and no physical staff that were visible. There are two kiosks that you have to use to check in. Once you decide if the appointment is for you or someone else there's two options, you can do a quick check-in or you can do a manual. Check-in the kiosk and describe the reason why you're there. There's no one there to help you. There were a few people there just waiting and I'm like is this standard. They had a TV that did not work. I checked in at the kiosk and the next appointment wasn't till 1:20pm. It was 9:30am. There was no way I was gonna go home and come back. I chose the walk-in standby option. They said it could take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes and there's no guarantee so I just waited. It took me about 20 minutes to be called in. I was in and out. The Trinidadian guy who drew my labs was really nice. He also weighed me and took my blood pressure. We were cutting up as if we knew each other for a long time. It was really nice. We talked about our families, ethnicities and growing up. It was a good appointment other than him stabbing me as if I did something wrong lmao. Both times I requested a flu vaccination, advised that my insurance does not cover vaccinations administered at an urgent care and that I would pay for the service. Both times I paid for the vaccination upfront and have the receipts. As part of the lengthy registration process, I was required to provide insurance information. Both times, LevelUp billed my insurance for services I was never advised of and when my insurance denied the claim, they came after me for it. It gets worse because there is no easy way to resolve this with LevelUp. They continually send me TXT collection notices that don't allow a reply, the phone number on the TXT notices does not pick-up and the website the TXT refers to is apparently a third-party agency that can collect but not help with resolution. If this were a legitimate transaction, a issue like this would be easy to resolve. Given that this is the second time this has happened and LevelUp's obtuse collections procedures, this seems outright fraudulent and recommend avoiding this business.
