Having a designated parking spot included in the price is such a huge perk. Check in was simple and secure with the door code. The in room coffee machine is awesome and it was such a nice touch to have almond milk creamer in the hallway along with fruit and snack bars. The hotel manager went above and beyond to accommodate us before, during and after our stay. Would recommend staying here.

Made us feel like we were checking into a secret spy hotel! The rooms were small but very comfy! The ceiling fan was awesome! The mini bar was on point and they had lots of great snacks. Coffee in room and really good toiletries. We also love the in room robes! The location was very convenient, parking was great and the restaurant was yummy. The only issue with the restaurant is that they take reservations for the bar so there is no guarantee you will get a seat at the bar for a quick snack and drink. The only negatives about the 404 is that there were no pastries or fruit left out in sitting area, several people mentioned this perk. There was also a little dried toothpaste in the sink and some stains on the bed when we first arrived to our room. Kinda gross but most likely a cleaning oversight. If you are looking for a small hotel for independent vacationers this is a great place to stay. We may not stay here the next time we visit Nashville but we would stay there again in the future.

Overall: I have a very mixed review. Rooms:…read moreThe rooms were cozy and clean, which I appreciated. However, there wasn't a fan in the bathroom and the AC in the room was quite weak, so there wasn't much air circulation or white noise. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, and the shower handle was broken and wouldn't adjust correctly. In another room my family member stayed in, the shower door was installed on the wrong side, making it difficult to enter. She had to get into the shower to turn on the water, which meant standing in cold water first. Service: Most of the front desk staff were excellent and friendly -- until checkout on the morning of 10/6. The woman at the middle computer was noticeably cold toward us. When my sister checked out, she didn't ask which payment method to use and selected one, which ended up being wrong. When I asked her to correct it, she was dismissive and said there was nothing she could do. My sister felt bad because it meant I wouldn't get points for the stay. I politely mentioned that hotel staff usually confirm payment methods at checkout, but she didn't respond. I asked to speak with a manager, who came right over and was very kind and helpful. He immediately fixed the issue and apologized for the mix-up. Meanwhile, the original staff member disappeared into the back once she realized she had been mistaken and could, in fact, change it. I completely understand that people have bad days, but if you're struggling to provide even basic customer service in a customer-facing role, it's best to work with your manager for support. Location: Excellent -- very convenient if you want to walk around downtown Nashville

The bathroom is so dark it's nearly impossible to do your hair or makeup. They advertise free in-room coffee, yet only offer dark roast, which many guests don't prefer. Location is the only real positive here. After settling in, we went out to walk around, then returned and tried to sleep. I woke up hot with an aching back--the mattress feels worn out and the AC doesn't cool the room effectively. I've stayed at much cheaper hotels with better beds. Since DoubleTree and Hampton Inn are both Hilton brands, I expected at least comparable quality, but the beds here are noticeably worse than what I regularly get at Hampton. I originally booked a Hampton Inn about 30 minutes away and wish I had kept that reservation. We paid $2,200 for three nights here after tax; the Hampton would have cost roughly $500. That extra money could have covered Uber rides and meals. I've been awake since 5 a.m. with back pain and still have two more nights left. The bar and breakfast look nice, but neither is free. Given the price difference and the fact that both properties are under Hilton, I expected more--especially when it comes to the beds. Overall, this stay fell short of expectations.

The front desks is a bar, and that should tell you a lot about the property. 2. The live music in the lobby has been great. It's nice to grab a drink, hear some live music, play some pool without having to leave the property yet. 3. Amazing location steps from Broadway bars and music 4. Everything is clean and simple. The negative reviews for this property are crazy. 1. You have to be a particular kind of Karen to complain about the noise from the street. You are on Broadway. There will be street noise. It will continue until 3am. The hotel provides earplugs and white noise generators. If this is going to be a problem for you then book a hotel out in Brentwood. 2. The rooms are small and sparse. They are also clean and cozy. I love it. You aren't coming here to hang out in your room. This is a fun, unique property. If you are expecting a Courtyard (or a Sheraton) book one of those instead. If you have any level of chill and are open to something unique right in the middle of the action, then stay here.

Our room overlooked the local bars and was just the right size for us. The rooftop restaurant was perfect for grabbing a drink and a late-night snack. If you want to be right in the middle of the action, this is a great place to stay!

Great perk is the shuttle service that operates within a 4 mile radius, definitely saved on Uber/lyft rides. Staff generally friendly and polite. Greeted whenever encountered. Booked 2 rooms both clean. One larger than the other has it had a sofa bed and larger sitting area. As with most hotels no over head lights so at nights room tend to be a bit dim. Included a microwave and a little refrigerator. Comfy queen size beds. Complimentary breakfast included that's where I minus a star. The coffee was not the best nor very hot. Decided to make tea, hot water also not very hot. Ended up going to Dunkin' Donuts about a 3-5 minute walk. Also within the same walking distance is a Starbucks and 7 eleven. All in all a pleasant stay.

When looking for a place near downtown Nashville, we found that this location had lower pricing, free breakfast, an indoor pool, cheaper parking ($10 nightly) than other hotels and a free shuttle that will take you anywhere within a four mile radius. All of these amenities were useful during our stay. We consistently experienced good customer service from Mrs. Jeanet working at the front desk when it came to answering my questions and providing local recommendations for my family. The housekeeping staff and shuttle drivers were conversational and friendly as well. Our room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was well lit and included the necessary items for the number of people in our room. The cleanliness was fair as well. We took extra steps to sanitize as well. We were in room 219, so you could hear a bit of sound from the street as the hotel is within walking distance of a gas station and a few fast-food restaurants (Dunkin Donuts and Chipotle). My mother in law heard someone above us walking at like 2 AM on our last night, so I would rate the noise level at a 3. They do observe quiet hours from 10 PM - 7 AM, but you'd have to report noise to address a loud neighbor and this can be a hassle. Amenities: The heated indoor pool is small and intimate, but worked perfectly for my energetic little one that could not wait to hop in and burn off energy. We used it on our first day. There was also a 24 hour gym that my mother in law took advantage of which had a few treadmills, exercise balls and weights. We ate the free breakfast around 8:30 AM on our second morning. I tried a ham, egg and cheese croissant and one egg frittata. They were both okay. They also had juices, waffle makers, pastries, yogurt (Chobani Greek vanilla yogurt and danon blueberry and raspberry), salsas, oatmeal, boiled eggs and cereal. I liked that included a Silk Oat Milk as a non-dairy alternative. The next morning they had sausages out (chicken and pork), but we ended up taking the shuttle to the downtown area to eat at the Pancake Pantry. The FREE shuttle was one of my favorite parts of the hotel experience. It runs daily from 7 AM to 11 PM, with the last departure from the hotel being at 10:30 PM. We used the shuttle to go EVERYWHERE and it saved us so much money on parking, ubering and gas, even with us bringing cash for tips. Allie was friendly and accommodating and provided great context around the area and things to do in Nashville. Kim told us about the National African American Music Museum and where to find good soul food. The free shuttle took us to the Gulch area, the Adventure Science Center, The Nashville Farmer's Market, downtown Nashville area which had plenty of cool things to do including the National African American Music Museum. We literally did not move our car one time after parking it. Overall, we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families, couples and single people.
