Brought a used car from this…read moreguy, when I pulled up on my drive after purchase (20+ miles journey home), got out of the car..steam was pouring out, as was water. Andy was informed of this (all this within ONE HOUR of purchase) and said he was going on 'holiday' and to keep him updated on the matter. Which I did, and when I asked when he was due to return he ignored all attempts to contact until almost 2 weeks later. Andy was rude on the telephone and told me to bring the car back if I wasn't happy and I'd get a refund (I hadn't once mentioned refund), he then hung up before I could respond. Texts were sent to arrange to take the car back to which Andy did not respond initially, and when he did respond he ultimately blamed me for the damage to the car (I've done nothing but care for and spend money on since buying, all the while not able to drive it as needed) and has suggested we will have to resolve through the court - which is fine by me. Let me put this into perspective, I was only buying a car from here as I was involved in a serious car accident (not my fault) and am left with serious long term injuries (I can no longer drive a manual car - this purchase was going to be modified to allow me to drive again), which was briefly explained when purchasing this car. The £2000 for the car plus £1000 insurance was all the money I had saved to buy this new car - all the money I had in the world. Now this guy hasn't once offered to help me, even though he was aware of problem immediately. He will tell you he's reputable and will seem like a nice guy - just until you part with your cash. I am not an unreasonable person if, for example, a tyre had blown on the journey home I would, of course, have replaced and continued to use the car as planned (an example he used) but this is not the same. Andy told me I should have checked the car for water etc before driving off his forecourt...so he has just admitted that he doesn't do a PDI on any of the cars he is selling? I paid extra for this car through a trader as I wanted that safety net. Bad move on my part trusting Grants Specialist Cars make the same mistake at your own peril.

Had the Chevvy 64 collected for its M.O.T today. Colin and his wife Liz came, obviously there a charge but only 30£ to collect and bring back. My son now goes here to have his car m.o.t'd....They keep you updated on all the work and will not try and diddle you too have more work done than needed, and will complete on the day that they state.....Love you guys !!!!
