My family and I would like to deeply thank the Lisovetsky memorial home for being so supportive, helpful and respectful to us on such a sad occasion. The fact that I was able to contact the company after hours was a wonderful asset! I strongly view the Lisovetsky Memorial Home as the company based on the highest customer care foundation. I also would like to add much gratitude to Rabbi Yitzchak Shimunov. The Rabbi had spent his time with me learning about my past father and guiding me through the Jewish rituals. I was very content with his officiated ceremony where he hit all the right notes. At the burial Rabbi Yitzchak Shimunov spoke at length about Jewish beliefs and traditions on such occasions. He kindly advised me on more post burial Jewish enrichments to exalt my father's soul; it added much peace and comfort. Very gratefully, Elena. read more

It was my mother's funeral. Everyone divided into groups, quietly talking to each other. Death hung in the air. Rabbi Yitzchak then took his place at the podium. His appearance was like a burst of bright light: we were now celebrating the life of my mother and her generation. It was simple and powerful. Thank you, Rabbi Yitzchak. read more

Our family would like to thank Alla and the entire funeral home staff for being so accommodating to us after the death of our father. They made this difficult time in our lives much easier. The help was personal, care was shown with going an extra mile to make our loss as smooth as possible. Alla and coworkers were understanding, compassionate, respectful, cooperative, and comforting. We also would like to say a separate "thank you" to the Rabbi Shimunov, who conducted himself with very gentle and sincere countenance. His remarks not only captured the essence and spirit of our Father as a person, but also were delivered in a comforting and healing manner. He did a mitzvah by helping us through our grieving process. We appreciate his knowledge, dignity, grace, emotional support, and guidance. We got so lucky. read more

Such a cold and uncaring Rabbi, it made the excruciating and awful experience even worse. The service by him was so impersonal and rushed, which wasn't even the bad part, he steered us wrong with the Shiva information, didn't bury properly, didn't recite and ran off in 10 minutes after barking orders. Business is business, but, if he wasn't trying to sell us something he was barking random information at us. He wouldn't know a Mitzvah if it slapped him in the face. It's like an impersonal conveyer belt. Give your loved one more respect that we got at this place. read more

They are very kind and attentive and did above and beyond to soften the pain of my loss. I am especially impressed with Rabbi Yitzchak Shimonov. I cannot say enough good things about him. His kindness, thoughtfulness and sensitivity helped me to survive this terrible time. I cannot recommend Rabbi Shimonov high enough and would like everybody know how amazing he is. read more

It is hard to keep calm in the times of sorrow over the loss of a beloved family member. Our experience with Lisovetsky Memorial Home was superb. The staff was courteous and prompt, accommodating us on Friday late afternoon. The Funerary package was reasonably priced and included the wake, the burial at the cemetery, tips for the grave digging crew, the flowers, the temporary plaque, and rabbinical service. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Rabbi Itzhak Shimunov for his dedication and personal care during the service. We felt his support through profound knowledge of the lifelong study of Tora and his compassion for the grieving family. Conversation with him and his mere presence were elevating and timeless. He helped us to go through the day and through a week of mourning. read more

Super considerate and caring staff. While I don't particularly enjoy funerals, they definitely made the process a lot easier. They took care of the tough stuff so our family could focus on what mattered most that day. Thank you! read more

The founder of the funeral home actually contacted me to find out what they could do better - I'm always impressed with responsiveness. Hopefully I won't have to write any further updates on this, but an additional star for responding to client issues. read more

I write reviews for restaurants, so as much as it pains me personally due to the loss of my mother, I feel that I have to give its due to Lisovetsky with how they have handled everything. Prior to contacting them, we reached out to another, very popular funeral home in our community and they said that they were booked till February? What? Are you burying people or are you marrying people? How is this even possible? Our next call was to Lisovetsky and right away, we knew we were in good hands as they have clearly explained everything and handled it all from start to finish. We worked with Victoria, she is very compassionate, on point, and walked us through everything, giving helpful suggestions. It's a well-oiled machine, and the atmosphere is very calming. We had a nice, large room and plenty of time to say farewell speeches. RIP, Mom. read more

Valet guys don't wear masks. Even after this was brought to their attention and the attention of other staff inside, masks were not put on. We were trying to follow the funeral procession and a staff member yelled and actually hit my car for not hurrying up to catch up with the others!!!! read more

I have used the services of Lisovetsky memorial home in August of 2013 when my father past away. I took time in his final days to arrange everything before he passed away, so it was an easier process for me. Alla Lisovetsky, Funeral Director, indeed answers the phone herself, and her stuff is well trained and courteous. I was explained all options in advance, nobody tried to up-sale me with more expensive options. On the contrary, I got a discount for pre-arranging the service. What was most amazing is that the funeral was arranged in less that 24 hours (the fact that I pre-arranged it helped a lot!). My dad passed away on Thursday afternoon, and his burial took place on Friday morning. All paperwork was prepared in order and in no time, Death Certificate were issued as were supposed to. Second thing that made me pleasantly surprised, is that since I had to have Death Certificate notarized and apostatized to be accepted in the country other that the USA, i was given all the info on how to do it and was even handed a printed out directions of how to get to offices and save money in ordering the right paperwork. I am very thankful to Lisovetsky Memorial Home for making those very unpleasant moments of my life hassle-free. read more

It is a difficult time when someone passes. A lot to deal with. And your emotional state may be preventing you from rational decisions. When my father passed, I literally had no idea what to do. I called the number on their web site at 11:45pm, and owner answered. She setup an appointment for me next day, personally handled my case. This place handled everything. I brought documents, and they did everything themselves. They left me in control, but handled everything that I wished. Their facility offered private viewing area, a separate room for family. They really went above and beyond in a very difficult time. read more

On behalf of our entire family, we would like to express enormous gratitude to the entire staff of Lisovetsky Memorial Home. They were able to maximally soften the pain of losing my beloved father and beautifully organized every step of the process. The staff were punctual, polite, attentive, kind, and extremely professional. Like my father used to always say, "I would give a 6 out of a five point system." Huge thank you to Alla and Dimitry Lisovetsky for taking care of every detail, dotting every i, and crossing every t. They are the absolute best people to turn to in a difficult time like this. read more

I spoke with Dmitriy Lisovetsky to ask him the new COVID protocols for a funeral tomorrow. He was rude in Russian and in English. I would definitely stay away from contacting/recommending this them in the future. read more

We had an excellent experience with the staff of Lisovetsky Memorial Home. They took the time to listen to our requests and educate us on the process. We worked with Victoria, she was a pleasure to deal with. The price that was offered on the phone by Alla Lisovetsky was respected during the whole process. It was a tough time as our beloved grandmother passed away. The Lisovetsky staff handled everything with the highest level of professionalism and respect. This is the most terrible experience I have ever witnessed. First problem that they had no tissues In the back of the room . Is it really that expensive to buy tissues ? Another thing it was extremely freezing in there. I know it's supposed to be cold but this was unbelievable absolutely ridiculous . And the most craziest thing they did was decided to close the coffin unannounced and the family was asking them why did they do that they said it was time . Okey I understand it was time but why don't you announce it 10 minutes before so everybody could say goodbye . This Family are not close to me but I felt really sad how the owners is so nasty and all about the money , I get it they need to do it fast to make 20k + in 2 hours that's fine. But at least have the decency to do it the right nobody's asking for special treatment . They basically take advantage of people who have lost a loved one in the family and absolutely can't think about anything else. Please don't use them and consider using someone else. read more

On September 2015 I ordered a monument for my moms grave. The only little think I could do to say thank you for being the best mom. I contacted the company named Lisovetski Stone Tributes (Owner Vadim Tsipenyuk) Part of Lisovetsky Memorial Home. We signed contract and I paid full $2650 for the monument. Monument was promised to be on place by Jan 6. After 3 month of talking nothing was done, I was advised to pay extra $300 as he explained that he doesn't care about a contract and that design I want im not able to use as portrait is 4 inches bigger than he planned to do, Of course in contract it says I can use any design any size and any style I want. He also stated that he needs another 3 month to deliver order. Moreover he was extremely rude and unprofessional. Please beware! I think there are some things that you cant make fun of and cant be unsatisfactory to the customers, especially when its about their loss. I contacted another company and they was able to deliver my order in 2 weeks! Amazing! 2 weeks and the monument was in place! Even with lower price ($2400)! Again im not the kind of person who ill write bad stuff even when someone is trying to rob me out of my hard earned money, but this type of experience puts shivers on my spine every time Im thinking about it. So here is my experience with Lisovetsky Stone Tribute and Vadim Tsipenyuk. At the end I contacted my CC and cancelled transaction as he refused to give refund too. Lisovetsky Stone Tribute - Total waste of time and your nerves. I also checked with BBB they have done this before many times. BEWARE!!! read more
