I cannot say enough good things about Liske & Massey. I tried doing my own taxes online last year, and after hours of confusion and a stress headache I called Liske & Massey. I will never attempt to do my own taxes again. They go above and beyond for their clients. There is a friendly, smiling face at the front desk and a knowledgeable staff to help you with all your accounting needs and concerns. I have had such a great experience year to year, that I have given their information out and gotten all my friends and family to come see them. They are truly a cut above the rest. When my mother passed a few years ago, she left behind a small estate in Flushing, Michigan. Since it was small, I relied upon a third party's recommendation to use attorney Craig Wright to have the matter probated. What you don't realize at the time of making such a decision is that you must take into account all of your personal time that must be utilized in closing such an estate. After retaining attorney Craig Wright, it was common not to hear from him or receive a status on the case for a very long time. As a result, I would have to contact his office for an update. I would initially be told that a status had recently been sent to me. A few weeks late I would receive an itemized statement for work performed within the recent past. Most of the activity would be administrative that appeared to have been handled by a paralegal at any time. This would be followed by an off the record promise that the case would be resolved very soon. In retrospect, I received these off the record promises of closure too many times. Additionally, I am convinced that unless I had continually prodded attorney Craig Wright's office, my mother's probate case would still be pending several years after filing. Further, the dollar amount and number of non-attorney fees charged by attorney Craig Wright's office seem way too high for the area. In summary, you will save a lot of time and aggravation if you spend more time locating a different attorney in the beginning of your case. This is even more true if you are concerned about the dollar amount of the estate.

I was a long-time client of theirs for years, but finally dropped them a couple of years ago after…read morethey had messed up my tax return. I eventually also had enough of waiting for 30 minutes beyond my scheduled tax appointment time to get in with my CPA. I was always on time, they were not. Plus, there was a pattern of rude behavior on the part of their office receptionist (she's been there for what seems like forever) who has gotten increasingly abrasive over the past several years. I even caught her, as well as my CPA and other staff, in several lies during the last few times I spoke with them. My new CPA had a hard time trying to correct the previous year's mistake and understand exactly how it was made in the first place. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Plus, they are not exactly cheap. I think they are more focused on corporate accounts versus private clients.

Performance against appropriate benchmarks is good. You also get an educated, certified professional assigned to your account who is always available to answer any questions or concerns. You can pay more, much more, for investment management, and I did, for awhile. Hired John to fight a dui charge. Long story short he never fully read the police report, or just…read moresimply overlooked that I had an independent blood draw at the hospital the night of. It cost me the case and my blood draw was under the legal limit. We did not get it till I personally looked into it a few days after agreeing to take a plea. Seemed like a large oversight for a 5k cost.

They keep sending spam mail to my address with someone else's name on it despite returning to…read moresender multiple times, this is poor business practice and reflects negatively on State Farm as a whole. If you ever move rest assured they will spam the hell out of the next resident. A reasonable expectation would be to stop sending me mailers or to remove the name from the mailer but despite this the exact letters I returned to sender had a message written on it saying "YOU ARE CURRENT RESIDENT" And were placed in my mailbox again. Not only was I disgusted by this unprofessional response but I will not be considering State Farm as an insurance provider if this is typical business practice for agents. If they market this agressively then they're likely to try to push you into an overpriced package that you probably don't need.

When I asked Paul to step in and fix the situation, he yelled at me. He called me names, he insinuated that I was lying, he would not even allow me to talk. His response to me was typical of someone with abusive anger management problems. To top it off, he immaturely hung up on me. The unprofessional manner of his complete staff is not worth your time. I have ended up filing a corporate complaint because I have never been yelled at so abusively. Anyone who treats a customer of 27 years like this does not deserve mine or your business. I am in the process of moving my service now.
