I arrived 20 minutes before closing. They TOOK THEIR DAMN TIME, and made sure I had everything I needed, and that everything fit well, including letting both the sleeves and the pantlegs down because I'm so tall. They pressed the suit and shirt and polished the shoes. I walked out of there well after closing time, with EVERYTHING in a suitbag, 90 minutes before my event. Is this place convenient to me? I took two business suits to Larry to get get tailored -- a brand new, modern fitting charcoal gray…read moresuit and an old dark pinstriped suit that I hadn't worn in 4 years. The new suit was not previously tailored. The older suit was ill-fitting since I had lost weight, and the cuffed pant leg style looked a bit dated. Larry measured me for both suits and listened to my concerns about fit and style. He made excellent suggestions -- particularly for the older suit, for which he had pointed out that the previous tailor had cut corners to complete the job faster. Larry assured me that he takes pride to ensure that quality work is done on each garment, and that he personally tailors each piece. And his commitment to quality shows. Inside of a week, Larry had both suits ready for me, but not before a call mid-week to let me know he had found a moth hole in the collar of the older suit jacket. I asked him to patch and repair it, and he do so expertly. The older suit looks in perfect condition when worn now. Larry was able get the fit right the first time on both the new and older suit. The suit pants contour perfectly, and the jackets present just the right lines across the shoulders without creasing. He completely breathed new life into the old suit, and the updated look fixed all the issues I had with it prior. I'm so happy to add both a new suit and an refreshed old suit into my work attire options. Larry's prices were extremely reasonable, turn around time was quick, and quality was top notch. I plan on using his services for all my future garment needs.

I came in to get a bridesmaids dress hemmed and slightly altered (trim the straps to bring up the…read morebust) and it was my mistake not asking for pricing before handing over my dress. The dress was perfectly hemmed but the straps which were wide were simply folded over once and poorly sewn down. I could've easily taken scissors or a seam ripper through it gently and the work would've been undone. I was charged $175 for this. It cost more than the actual dress. The woman was kind and offered assistance on the alterations being done but I wish I knew how high the price would be for the work done. I know prices vary but for the alterations done on the dress straps and the loose sewing I believe I was overcharged. I read my positive reviews and I'm sure it was great work but always remember to confirm the expenses and look around for your best fit.
