I was looking for a place to have my pants hemmed. I found this place in the area and decided to check it out. I called and she said I could drop them off. I found that she works out of her home. She was friendly and professional. A little upselling of clothes but it is her business. I left them there and she told me when I could pick them up. I called and they were ready to go. I love Lisa! A very kind woman with great prices and quick turnover time. I had a few pairs of jeans I needed to get shortened and I wanted them done soon. She shortened it with the original hem for $20 a pair (she said $15 for regular alteration) and I came in Thursday night, dropped the jeans off, whole process took maybe 10 minutes, and got them back Friday morning. She did such a good job and was so friendly every time I came in, wonderful experience. I chose her over Quality Alterations (and other tailors in the area) because she was able to get the job done quickly and was accurate with her estimate of how long it would take her to return the jeans to me. Quality Alterations said the soonest they could do a pair of jeans was "around a week". I'm sure that has to do with the number of jobs they have to do but, I really do appreciate when someone can give a good estimate on time so they don't say they can do it in a day then ask for an extension or do a sloppy job. Another thing they had over Quality Alterations was price. Quality Alterations charges $18 for regular hem and $30 for original hem. I definitely think at least for simple stuff like jeans alterations or patching up holes, Lisa's the girl to go to. A couple things to know beforehand: 1. Call ahead before coming. She runs her business in her home so her schedule varies. But she's pretty good about picking up the phone so it's easy to get in touch. 2. She has a cat, I love her and she's very cute. However if you're allergic, just be aware and let her know ahead of time. She really is quite great and I'm actually excited to go back. read more

My fiancee had a horrible experience with Quality Alterations. Lisa completely turned around an experience after Quality Alterations insulted my fiancee by calling her fat and held her dress hostage a few days before the wedding...Luckily we found Lisa's Tailoring, she squeezed us in right away. She set aside 2 days to get the dress done. She only wanted to charge $45 dollars (we of course paid her more). She said it wasn't a big deal and that she didn't need any fabric added. Lisa felt like family for my fiancee. Now, it wasn't a simple hem-job. The chest needed to be let-out. It was an Indian bridal dress. She looked beautiful.
