AMBIANCE I came here on a date with no information about…read morethis place. The outside is stone/brick and very inviting. We went midday on a Saturday for a late lunch. It was bustling and felt like a speakeasy in DC...quiet on the outside and a nice buzz of activity on the inside. The inside décor was unique and had a stage area, a bar about as huge or long as the restaurant, and lots of high-top tables with a few low top tables. There was also a party area. I am so surprised to find this place in Port Tobacco, I can't believe I haven't heard about it until recently. The waitress came over multiple times during our dining experience to check on us. My favorite part of the meal was when the Owner of the restaurant came over to personally introduce himself to us, compliment me, and proceed to have a conversation with us. That is outstanding customer service and will ensure you can bring people back. He told us some of the back story of the restaurant, made jokes, told us not to wait too long to return, and even gave us coffee and carrot cake dessert on the house (i.e. that he bragged his wife makes in house)!! I didn't know people still did that. I felt like one of those privileged rich kids with all the connections. That's a first for me. It was very memorable. FOOD We got the pork belly for appetizer, and the special of short ribs, brussel sprouts, and mashed potatoes. The pork belly was excellent and it came with some sort of sweet potato hash under it. I honestly would like more of that as a full meal. The short ribs were also good, lean, and not overly sauced like at some places. The brussels had just enough crunch, and the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. PARKING Parking is lot parking that wraps around the side. They had a few handicap spaces and some areas on the side that look perfect for motorcycles. Somehow no matter when you come you can find a spot. Apparently, they have nights where they also have live music. I will definitely return for one of those events or just because.

Will never ever go back there again. We waited over an hour for the food to be delivered. Then the…read morehamburger and the fish and chips we got wasn't very good. The bill for 2 people a hamburger and 1 fish and chips was almost a $100 that's insane. Usually when we spend that kind of money, we have had a good time not there. Also, the menu online prices aren't even close to the restaurant menu. The biggest waste of time and money.

Ghost Fleet [GF]. (3.5 stars)…read more BLUF: If you like craft beers, this is the place to come & enjoy a frosty brew while shopping and/or dining at Stonebridge. (Hence the 3.5 stars). I had actually been to this bar twice before but since it is located IN the Alamo theater, I never got to try it because I would always open the main entrance door & see the theater employees & think I couldn't access Ghost Fleet (the bar) unless I purchased a movie ticket. Well, that isn't the case. I finally asked a theater employee who told me to just stay to the left & I could order from the bartender. I will say, for a bar located in a theater, I was shocked that GF has 25+ craft beers on tap & a few that I do recognize & enjoy!! Note: Happy Hour is available Monday to Friday from 4-7pm. The food here is average at best but still filling. The pizza is probably the best option for both portion size as well as price. Tip: You can make any pizza "Angry" (jalapeño, red chili flakes, & fresh basil) for $2 up charge. I ordered the Omnivore (Angry) because I was surprised to see that GF makes their own pizza crust in house?! The Omnivore comes with pepperoni, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, cheese, homemade marinara, Kalamata olives & red onions. It was a decent pie & definitely bigger than what I expected. Angry Omnivore = $15 + $2 (Angry). I also ordered the Kids size chicken tenders with fries. For 2 decent sized tenders & some fries, I suppose the $10 is on par with theater food costs... The chicken was surprisingly moist & tender. GF has an outdoor patio as well so one can enjoy a nice cold brew during the hot summer days & nights. The bartender was quite knowledgeable in each beer offered & did allow me to sample the Dark Hollow before I "fully committed" to ordering it. I felt $8 for a nice cold beer was worth it! I'm happy I at least got to try GF & when I'm in the mood for a stout or IPA, I'll definitely choose GF over the other eateries at Stonebridge that sell beer... Parking is ample & available on site. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area & want a nice cold beer. I do wish GF well.

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.
