Warmly greeted upon our entry. I remained at the seating area by the entrance, while my family member was discussing battery replacements for three watches. There were various glass display cases with assorted merchandise - necklaces, gems, costume jewelry pieces, watches, etc. There was another customer who came in later and inquired to have watches evaluated to sell with another store employee. After a brief wait, the battery replacements and payment were completed. It was nice to see such professionalism and patient pleasantries observed. I was not thrilled but had promised my 8 year old and drove 30 min for the appointment so felt stuck. Very quickly after I initially contacted you with concerns, my daughter's bracelet fell off and was unfortunately lost. You offered to re-weld mine but about a week later prior to being able to even consider making arrangements to come back for a re-weld mine also fell off and I've been unable to locate it. The reason for this review now is because Yelp suggested your establishment, and yes I would still be bothered when I spent $100 on now missing jewelry shortly after purchase. I've since had a new one placed on myself without ANY issues. It's welded very strongly. And I got my daughter a bracelet with a clasp that is age appropriate and it's remained on through school, sports and normal 8 year old activities without issue. Sorry to upset you with factual details of your products and services. Your clasp was obviously subpar as was your welding skills. Why would I come back to have you weld it again when your welding abilities didn't last even a month? I suggest kindly touching grass. The shank broke on 5/11/2026, and I took it back on 5/12/2026. The lady who waited on me made a loud production about their one-year warranty and how the damage to my ring was outside of the year. It was 3 weeks outside of the warranty. It was unprofessional behavior and there were other people in the business who could hear her admonish me. She said she would speak to the owner and get back to me. I received a text message on 5/13/2026, stating that I could pay $40 for the repair. I picked up my ring and took it to another jewelry store who looked the ring over to give me an estimate. Attached is the picture I took when they explained that the work that had been done was faulty. There are bubbles in the shank and you can see the lines where the metal was added to upsize the ring. So much for over 30 years' experience in the business. I would expect this type of customer experience with a corporate owned business where profit is the goal over everything else, not from a "locally owned business that advertises that you can trust your precious family heirlooms with them." Update/Response: The ring was not bent nor had it been sized before. I hardly wear this ring, and I never wear it for work, around the house or in the garden. I received this from a grandparent, and it was a size 4 or 5. Fircrest is the only jeweler that I have had size this ring, and that was in April of last year. It broke at the seam of the metal that was used to upsize the ring to a size 8.5. The jeweler that looked over the ring was not impressed with the work and there was no discussion about the ring being bent or sized multiple times.
