Bit old fashioned looking on the outside; the shop frontage could do with some modernisation. Cuddys have a gent's fashions shop on North Street as well. From what I have seen they have a pretty extensive range on display mainly ladies fashion wear, handbags and accessories. The sales are worth watch out for as you can get great bargains. Some of the top high street brand names are available on sale. Ignore the depressing looking shop front, go in and have a good look at what they have got, I think you might be surprised. There is always something that is a bit different to what you see elsewhere. Small does mean there is not the range of choice available, but it is amazing how often I find just what I am looking for. These days it is always worth while to haggle a bit; why pay full price when there might be a bit of leeway? Repair work is also available; watch batteries replaced, safety chains fitted, etc

Eh, not me anyway…read more The Silver Store isn't your Lunns / Joseph Rea type jewellery store, mainly because the jewellery isn't the top end, exorbitant kind, but also because of its quaintness, as well as its chilled atmosphere. You could just drift around all day, imagining that ring on your finger, or that necklace around your neck...sigh. The Silver Store is one of the jewellery shops you know you'll find something you like. There is everything you could possibly want - costume jewellery in the most beautiful colours, sterling silver stack rings, fascinators, scarves, tiaras...the list goes on. The tiaras were of particular interest, as my sister had decided she wanted one for her formal (next year mind you, but it pays to be organised), so we had a wee nosey at this stunning range. Oohs and aaahs from my sister said it all really...such dazzling jewellery. Meanwhile, my brother waited patiently outside, knowing that this sort of shop really wasn't his scene. With no mens jewellery, it definitely is one for the girls. Heaven really.

Christmas times and Birthdays tend to mean a piece of jewellery from The Silver Store and ah, how I look forward to them. *Heart* Nearly every item in this small but exquisitve shop is crafted to perfection. It's really hard to come in here and not leave without buying something, so I have to hold back from visiting too often. I've been bought some real (methaphorical) gems from here. It's located in the charming and peaceful Scotch Quarter area in The Courtyard, Carrickfergus. There are also some great shops in this area so check them out if you're around here, oh and keep an eye out for the resident moggy who comes and goes as he pleases, so very sweet! The Silver Store sells all sorts of jewellery and not only in silver as the name would sugest. They offer; wedding rings (made to order), jewellery and accessories, antiques and diamonds, engagement rings, bridal jewellery and tiaras, handbags, hats and scarves.

I'm not sure what I was expecting to be any different. Bonmarche is a fashion store for ladies and they sell clothing, outerwear, shoes, underwear, hoisery etc. I think the 'fashions' here would be aimed at the older lady. The considerably older lady. My mum is in her late 50's and doubt she'd wear anything they sell! On the plus side, the shop is bright, modern and well laid out.

They offer well known brands such as Pandora, Michael Kors, Guess, Pilgrim and Thomas Sabo, along with their own range of jewellery. The pieces on offer are stunning and priced competitively. The customer service is fantastic, as when I enquired about a ring I was after and had seen elsewhere, they didn't stock it but were able to get it in for me the following week. They have a Christmas club available so should you wish to save up, you can open an account and put money in as and when you can afford, to have a nice amount built up to buy some presents (or treat yourself!) Also be sure to check out their sales, as there are some great bargains to be had (and you can never have too many pairs of Converse!) They have a full range of eCigarettes and vape juices in stock, along with accessories suhc as batteries and chargers. The guy behind the til listened to what I was looking for and showed me a range of juices to choose from. They were all reasonably priced and the range was great!

This is of course, where they got the name from! :) This is a beautiful little cafe/tearoom/gift shop, and it makes the perfect addition to the little row of shops in Glassillan Court, and was just what the area needed. The interior is beautifully decorated, with full length windows, allowing loads of natural light to come in. Th shop itself is a treasure trove of wonderful gifts and accessories, such as pictures, bath bombs, jewellery, scarves and many more ,all beautifully presented. The food served here is beautiful ,you get get a massive slab of lasagne with salad and coleslaw for only £4.00, which is absolutely beautiful. They also offer toasties, sandwiches and paninis with a huge variety of fillings, french toast, fries, shepherds pie, and some of the most beautiful cakes and cupcakes ever. (Massive fan of the bannoffee!!)
