Totally unprofessional and Hannah one of their staff members was down right rude and ignorant and should not be allowed to speak to customers the way she did. On another note they have a really lovely girl called Bethany that works in store and I would like to thank her for all her help.

It's well laid out and the staff keep it tidy, making it easy to find what you're looking for. They also do some nice bags, scarves, costume jewellery, and other accessories. The staff here are usually friendly and personable. My only complaint is that the changing rooms can be a bit cluttered!

To me, this store seemed like a Zara outlet - it was much more up market than other competing High Street stores. There was a large selection of clothes and accessories for women and when I popped in it was well staffed. Obviously there wasn't much in there for me but If I was a fashionable lady I would give Stradivarius a go ;)

It has occasional quirky little items. Stradivarius has casual clothes nicely arranged at the front of the store for everyday wear and more dressy towards the back. All of the accessories are arranged around items that they would go particularly well with. The changing rooms are well staffed and run effectively. There are pleasant staff members at the check out too. Reasonable prices.

The Lavender Box combines beautiful jewellery (the likes of Pom, Coeur de Lion, Pilgrim), with stunning gifts (I spotted the cutest wooden Noah's Ark, and the animals all had their own places), and exquisite clothing / shoes. It truly has it all. The front section of the shop is home to the gifts, filled with fancy knick-knacks such as candles, ornaments, figurines, stationery etc., as well as the jewellery. Cabinet after cabinet bursting with the most dazzling jewellery (there was 20% off some items the day we were in, but I managed to behave myself). The back section of the shop is home to a beautiful range of very unique clothes. Not really my style, but very classy and elegant, with a bit of a retro feel to them. Alongside these lie a good range of Irregular Choice shoes, which, as most of you will know, are a gorgeously kitsch, and somewhat pricey shoe label (and to die for). Oooooh shoe lust... The owner / sales assistant was very friendly, though her attention was diverted to a customer who was trying on a pair of Irregular Choice boots, and couldn't make up her mind which colour to choose. Nevertheless, she spoke to us, and was very amiable, and I commended her for dealing with the Irregular Choice boot lady (jealous...), who obviously needed her help much more than I or my sister. They sold something for everyone (if you could afford it, as it can be rather expensive) but alas, gone are those days and the shop now seems to stock fashions for the older lady that I'm not even sure my Granny would wear. I will admit that they do sell a fabulous range of handbags and shoes, but their clothing seems to have gone well down hill. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this, my mums side of the family are from Ballyclare (nine kids altogether - five of which were girls and they all loved a pay day treat in this store) they all agree that it just isn't what it used to be. Sadly so, the other fashion stores in the town seem to have cornered the fashionable market stakes and The Wardrobe are left with the high end price tag, and some rather gaudy, 'wouldn't be caught dead in' trends. Now I will give them their dues, they're known for being a great stockist of 'Mother of the bride' outfits and the accessories I spied were fantastically beautiful. (See pictures) maybe I'm too young or my style is too alternative to appreciate the clothes here ... (I really don't think so though) but The Wardrobe just isn't what it used to be. Every possible colour, shape and style is avaliable, as well as numerous delightfully kitsch gifts, making this an excellent place if you're shopping for a special occasion. It is pricey enough, with the dresses ranging in price from £60-£200, but you would be guaranteed that no-one else would be wearing the same one (such a disaster when that happens!). When my sister and I took a peek at these exquisite dresses, her cries of "oooh" and "ahhh" reflected the level of wonderment at such lovely garments, and for me, this is what really makes Atelier. The girl who was 'on duty', so to speak, was lovely and helpful, and didn't mind us hunting through the rails. Even if you go just to window shop, definitely pay this lovely wee place a visit.

How have I never known of this shop before? It's so elegant and beautiful. There are three lovely girls who work in the shop and they design all the items they sell. Lizzie makes the dresses, Ursula makes the accessories, handbags and head wear, then the other (I'm so sorry I've forgotten her name, I'll repost it) creates the jewellery. This whole process just makes me smile. I love it! I will definitely be back here. It's such a little gem of a shop hidden away in this arcade. The store is beautifully laid out and they sell some amazing items (see 'The Good Book' a hollowed out book with a mini flask hidden inside!) The dress maker, Lizzie Agnew, is famous by name. Her dresses have featured in Tatler, The Wedding Journal, and The Guardian. She creates beautiful vintage inspired silk gowns designed and made to order. I've seen some of these both in the shop and on her website and OH WOW! If I ever have the funds/occasion/need to get a tailor made dress it will be here. They're simply heavenly! The Mills found new life by redeveloping the site to create a retail centre. The 'anchor store' is Tynwalk Mills department store featuring high end clothing and home goods. Adjacent stores include a gourmet deli, two cafes, a flower shop, a toy store a weekly farmers' market (Thursday) and more. We had lunch at the Neb Cafe, which was very good. The shops are wheelchair accessible and there is plenty of parking. The setting is lovely, they also have a picnic area and playground, something for everyone!

The Superdry store in here is fantastic and suits all ages. The furniture store that they have there is really nice and super cool and expensive. Tynwald Mills is overall a fantastic place that has something for every age and I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm not sure what I was expecting to be any different. Bonmarche is a fashion store for ladies and they sell clothing, outerwear, shoes, underwear, hoisery etc. I think the 'fashions' here would be aimed at the older lady. The considerably older lady. My mum is in her late 50's and doubt she'd wear anything they sell! On the plus side, the shop is bright, modern and well laid out.

I used to walk past Couples without even looking in as I thought it somehow gave off a 'middle age'…read morevibe. How wrong was I? Yes, there are some clothes that only ladies of a certain age should consider, but Couples is also jammed with lovelies from St Martins, Desigual and lots of little independent labels. You can spend as much or as little as your budget allows as some of the ranges are very affordable while others are for special occasions only. Even the cheaper ranges look more expensive than they actually are as they're unusual and not what you'll see in chain stores. Couples also has some funky shoes and if you've got a wedding to go to, they have fascinators and wraps too. Definitely worth a visit if you want something just a little bit different to all the other fashion dollies on the high street.
