I am always happy to see Lisa and her staff. Either when I had a cold (pre-Covid) or when I had muscle pain in my shoulders or in my back. She also helped me with overall maintenance and hormone balancing. The most memorable treatment was when I had vertigo for about 8 weeks and nothing I did helped. I finally went to Lisa, although I was dreading laying on the table, as I knew I would start spinning once I turned my head. (I had to sleep sitting up for 8 weeks, as I couldn't lay flat...otherwise I'd start spinning. ) One treatment and two days later, the vertigo was gone. Whatever she did, I'm super grateful! I came in for a massage today with a groupon and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On one hand, the lady massaging me seemed to know what she was doing and hit all the right spots. She was strong and really dug into those muscles. While I came for just that, I do wish I was treated slightly more delicately. There were a lot of open palmed slaps that plain hurt and points of the massage where I felt a lot of her nails. At one point I tried to tell her she was hurting my head and I was prone to headaches...but she told me that she was improving my circulation to cure my headaches, and continued doing what I told her was painful. My friend took a picture of my neck which was bruised immediately after the massage. To echo another reviewer, this place is more therapeutic than relaxing. Some parts of the massage were just what I needed. Perhaps if there was a better line of communication I could have avoided some of the more painful moments of my experience. read more

For some reason, I was a little anxious at my massage here. Maybe it was because it was at an Acupuncture clinic? Who knows.. BUT I've got to say that it really turned out very well. Ohhh, this was one of only two massages (and I've had quite a few) where they actually massaged my head. LOVE it! She also massage my gluteus very well...moved my legs to a position where she could really hit the muscles well. I was seen right away and showed to a nice room quickly. Once I was set up on the massage table, the massage therapist came in, turned down the lights and got started. She checked in on the type of pressure I wanted and then didn't say another word. For me, that's PERFECT. I don't like a lot of talking while I'm getting a massage. When some people out in the front room were talking too loudly, my massage therapist took a second to ask them to quiet down. While it was slightly noisy at first, it definitely was very nice after the therapist asked them to quiet down. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. Or, well..i forgot it. My fault. Her pressure was just right. Not too hard (though she was only doing medium strength) and not too soft. The only thing that was a little off was that the end of the massage was a little abrupt. Would I come here again? You bet. And they have a great deal where your family pays $99/year and then can get $39/hour or $89/2 hour massages as much as you want. Sounds like a fair deal. read more

I had acupuncture and massage here. Both worked so well to alleviate my symptoms. Lisa recommended Chinese herb which also helped me a lot! Yes, massage hurts but it hit the spots and I felt so good after having one session both acupuncture and massage. I agree with someone's comments. Bought 2 massage Groupon deals, 1 for me and 1 for the hubz. We had such a positive experience, we bought the family membership package. I don't know how long they'll offer the package, but at the time we purchased, it cost $99 to start. Then you pick from: 1hr massage for $39, or 1.5hr massage for $69, or a 2hr massage for $89. Frequency is unlimited, so basically you can come as often as your wallet allows. ;-) The membership lasts 1 year. We have been coming once a month for the past few months, and between the two of us, I think we've managed to receive a massage from all of their therapists. They're all good about checking what pressure you're comfortable with and also asking about problem areas to focus on or stay away from. The massages are more therapeutic, than they are relaxing, so FYI. Since we both work out a lot, our interest is more on focusing where we're tight, knotted-up or sore, and I always leave there feeling thankful that I came in! A friend recommended this place, so I decided to try it out for my carpal tunnel pain. I heard that acupuncture was very successful in treating carpal tunnel pain. I am not a big fan of needles, but Lisa was very gentle and I barely felt the small pins. After one treatment, my wrist began to feel better. I am planning to go back for further treatment. The place is clean and the employees there were very nice. Great place to feel better! read more

Wow. What strength... what a massage! I would caution those who like a gentle touch; this is probably not the massage for you. Made an appointment because a Groupon I had purchased for a therapeutic massage was about to expire. Well, ignorant me, I hadn't had a therapeutic massage before, and just thought "therapeutic" was an adjective, not necessarily a type of massage. The day of, I decided to read other reviews which helped my expectations, but I still hadn't experienced such an intense massage before. It was like being on a massage roller coaster! The ambiance was great (clean, low light, soft music, good smell and also a heat lamp over the table), and much of the massage was relaxing. Then there were parts of the massage which made my muscles twitch and spasm. I had to consciously tell myself to relax because my muscles would tense. Then there were parts that downright hurt. But, I think that was all part of the plan. I walked in with tight shoulders and a headache, and walked out like I was on a cloud with a fuzzy head. Body parts I didn't even know could feel neglected (like my ears, forearms, ankles...) felt amazing in the masseuse's hands. Then there were startling parts, like the soft (yet loud) slapping. I figured it was all part of a therapeutic massage, so I just tried to enjoy the ride. The one slight negative is if you're one who likes to be transported during a massage and are disturbed by extraneous noise, then you could be a bit unhappy. With the bare floors and thin walls/doors, sound travels quite easily throughout the office. There were occasions where full conversations and footsteps down the hall felt like the door didn't exist. This didn't bother me too much since it wasn't an entirely relaxing massage, but I can see how it could bother some. Despite the language barrier, I trusted that my masseuse (Shirley) knew what she was doing and I let her give me the full therapeutic massage experience. I have to say I enjoyed it for the most part. I let her dig into muscles, really working sore/painful spots repeatedly. We'll see how I feel tomorrow and beyond, and will update my review if I feel any different. But I did leave Lisa's feeling much better than when I arrived and I had to sit in the car for a few minutes to re-adjust to the world, which I took as a good thing. I haven't mustered up enough courage to try acupuncture, but if I ever do, I would certainly consider visiting Lisa's. In the meantime, I will highly considering getting more therapeutic massages when I want to teach my muscles a lesson instead of babying them in a fully relaxing fashion. =) read more

I have had neuropathy in my feet, which makes them numb and uncomfortable all the time. I decided to go to Lisa's and try acupuncture because my "regular MD" didn't have anything to help with this. The acupuncture really helped and after a few sessions, I got rid of the tingling and numb feeling! Lisa was very good and knew what I needed to have done. The office is nice and the staff were great. I would highly recommend coming here for relief that western medicine can't always supply! read more

I have been to other accupuncture clinic and was not really impressed. My friend suggested Lisa's and I decided to give it a try. Wow...I am so happy I took my friends advice and gave Lisa a try. She is very professional and personable. She made me comfortable and helped me with this chronic neck and shoulder pain I have been having. (I just thought I had to live with it). I have been to the office a for a few sessions now and will continue to go back and have Lisa take care of my aches and pains. The best part is my PTO insurance covers it. Had a friend go there but she came back with painful bumps on her head and forehead. Never going back for sure as she felt they don't value you as a customer and she was crying in pain after treatment. She still has black sores wherever the needles were put and is in pain. Seeing her like this made me cry. The doctor raves about her experience but did not communicate with her about anything she was doing and just stuck needles in her head and hands. Think twice before spending all this money which will not be refunded at any cost. There are a lot of better empathetic acupuncture clinics who care for their patients and are so gentle. read more

I was going monthly to Lisa's Acupuncture for a massage for a year. I have the yearly membership for $99. I was very happy with the firm pressure of Kathryn's massage. Then, I decided to try Lisa for acupuncture as I still had some tightness in my neck. After just 1 treatment I felt more relaxed than I had in years!! She is very knowledgeable and can tell, with very little input from me, where to put the needles to get excellent results. She continues to educate herself to serve her patients at the highest level. I have been seeing her monthly for the last 6 months and am very happy with the results. Now I see both Kathryn and Lisa once a month to help keep my body and mind in good shape. read more

I cannot express in words just how much Lisa has helped me these past few years. I went to her for help with drug addiction and what I received was so much more. She helped me become less distractable and more grounded. She was able to idividualize each session and give me exactly what I needed, at a time when I didn't know the first thing about what I needed. Lisa helped me with the release of chronic low back pain that I thought would plague me forever. Even more, she helped with my emotional state by doing sessions for "emotional release" and "emotional grounding". It was clean and they were on time but the massage was just meh! They didn't ask me about why I was there and what parts of my body needed more attention. They didn't ask me what type of massage I like: do I prefer going deep or not for example. I tried to communicate what I wanted with my masseuse but she didn't seem to understand what I was saying. I finally gave up and decided to let her do her thing. She also used too much oil in my opinion. I don't think I will go back there again. read more
