I feel sad & disappointed writing this review because I was genuinely looking forward to my appointment. I waited over a month with excitement for my first visit. On the day of the appointment, just a few hours before, I received a cancellation text. Lisa helped reschedule me for the same time the following week, which I appreciated and made me feel better about the situation. Unfortunately, after I had already left and was on my way to the rescheduled appointment, I received another cancellation text, this time with less than an hour's notice. I had arranged my schedule around this appointment, so the last-minute cancellation was especially frustrating. When I let her know I was already on my way, the only response I received was a a sad face emoji, which did not feel professional or apologetic. As someone dealing with complex symptoms that seemed well suited for her expertise, this was a very disappointing experience. read more

Booked a session with Lisa for some general bodywork, having no specific complaint. Just felt it was time. In the course of the session, Lisa was able to effectively determine problem areas and alleviate choke points and tension. Her awareness and experience come in to play quickly, and her confident touch is leavened by patience and compassion. It was so easy to relax and let her take over, happy to be in the hands of a professional who seamlessly works with intuition and time-tested technique. I've been a client of Lisa's since 1990, except when I lived out of state. She's talented in nudging away the tension and sometimes emotions from my body. I like her use of many modalities, including craniosacral work, depending on what's happening now. It must be exhausting work and I don't mind rescheduling if there's a better time for her. I was very much looking forward to seeing Lisa as her website services seemed to be just what I've been looking for. I scheduled a new patient appointment and even went to the trouble of emailing her (per new patient instructions) about pertinent information that would be valuable prior to treatment. The day before the first scheduled appointment, I received an email saying our appointment had been moved from 12:45pm to 1:30pm. Then she texted with no introduction, assuming I could accommodate. Ok, no problem, I can be flexible. Then the next day, the day of the appointment, she changes the appointment again to Monday saying she feels under the weather. Ok, fine, I get that and appreciate that she needs to recover and does not want to get me sick. Monday morning and I get yet another text saying she needs to reschedule. At this point I express to her I cannot move the appointment to her suggested time and then go on to express I am in a lot of pain (which I had already mentioned in my email). I candidly expressed reluctance to reschedule a third time and asked if we could briefly speak over the phone to discuss a few simple questions I had. She never replied. I am very disappointed by the way this was handled. I'm truly bewildered by her miscommunication and lack of professional behavior by a small business owner, especially someone who is in healthcare and working with patients who are in pain and discomfort. Was hoping for more. ***Addendum: Lisa has made a big effort by calling and communicating that she was dealing with a difficult personal situation. She has offered to comp my initial visit as a courtesy. I do appreciate her generosity and attention. She acknowledged the pain I'm in and has offered to help. Lisa is such a treasure! My wife and I have been seeing her for years on an as-needed basis. She is our #1 go-to person for healing. We've sent or taken many family and friends to Lisa also. She is so much more than a massage therapist or bodyworker: she is an intuitive healer. Her fingers magically read your body like a book, revealing old injuries that she then fixes. Not only is she really, REALLY good at what she does, but she doesn't try to string you out for multiple visits or treat conditions she is not qualified to. Rather, she is so secure in herself and her work that she is very open in sharing referrals to other professionals one might wish to see, and she will tell you when she has reached the limits of what she can do for you herself. Lisa is also a very caring person, and her love extends beyond humans to animals and nature. Her prices are fair for what you get; she charges more than many massage therapists in town, but you can accomplish in one session with Lisa what it might take you five or more sessions to do with someone else.
