Donna is so much more than a massage therapist! There are many different machines of which you can use. I used the flopresso- which activates the parasymoathetic nervous system and helps with lymphatic drainage, and also the AO hub which can help with many different things, but it helped me eapecially with mental clarity and my overall wellness. She added in the PEMF mat and my pain went from a 5 or 6, down to a 0! I usually have pain everyday, but now my pain is gone most days! Thank u so much donna, i will keep coming back! read more

Donna is very knowledgeable about how the body's soft tissue works and how to correct problems and heal from injury. I have been going to her for years now and she has helped me in so many ways. I've had several injuries that Donna has facilitated proper healing and lessened recovery time. Donna is just as successful with stiff necks, hips and whatever else the years and stress throw at us. She's better than a physical therapist or a standard massage therapist. She uses her extensive knowledge of both therapies to get optimal results. You'll probably be going home with exercises and homework! It's always clean, professional and secure. Thank you! read more

Donna has absolutely changed my life. I am a former dancer and after 30 years of dancing, the vertebrate in my neck have completely curved in the opposite direction. For many, many years I lived in pain. I have been chiropractor's, specialists, physical therapy multiple times, and even tried acupuncture. Sometimes these avenues briefly worked, however, Donna has almost made my pain go away. I have seen her every few weeks for a year now, and for a year, I have lived with virtually no neck pain. She's magical. She's gifted. She's kind. She cares. Donna is simply put, the best. I would recommend her 1000 times over. read more

Wow! Donna and Brion are amazing! They both have years of experience in various methods of body work. Donna has helped me with understand the intricate workings of muscle systems, shown me breath work and taught me many tips and tricks to help bring the body into balance. I've come to her an assault to help bring me and my nervous system back into alignment and with aches and pains. We geek out on different healing modalities together! Brion worked with me after a concussion. Not only did my head feel spacious and cooler after the Dolphin concussion protocol but I also enjoyed her knowledge about Eastern medicine and her ability to connect. Please visit these great body workers! They both have amazing gifts to share and know human bodies very well!! I can't wait to visit them soon! read more

Donna did wonders for me after I was hit in an auto/pedestrian collision. She was a miracle-worker in helping me work through vagus nerve issues when no one else was able to make any progress! She is very knowledgeable about the impacts of breathwork on overall health and has a deep understanding of brain/body connections. Donna really cares about finding the right course of treatment for her patients and, most importantly, she listens to what you are telling her...this made a huge difference in her ability to figure out the solution to my vagus nerve problems. And, her regular massages are amazing. I can't recommend her highly enough! read more

I'll start with... Donna knows cool stuff. You get more than a massage when you meet Donna. Donna's knowledge of how your brain connects to your nervous system then to the muscular system is amazing - mind blowing. With a few unexpected movements, I found immediate relief. She also gave me exercises for me to do at home to retrain my brain and how it activates my muscles. Donna focuses on the overall wellness of her clients. I walked out feeling lighter and centered... and felt like I could conquer the world. :) read more

I've been going to appointments with Donna for almost a year and she has been absolutely fantastic. I recently had a session with Amiga who is also phenomenal - she has a wonderful demeanor and sense of professionalism and she checks in with you throughout the session to make sure you're comfortable and are getting the desired results from your treatment. I felt rejuvenated and tension-free after my appointment. Highly recommended!! read more

I went to Donna for a simple massage and got so much more than I asked for! First -- the massage was fantastic! More than that, as someone with a professional background in sports medicine, I was blown away by her knowledge of the body, as well as the non-traditional therapies she taught me. Simply by investigating my gait, posture, and breathing, Donna was able to tell me about my medical/injury history -- which I hadn't disclosed at all. She taught me some Z Health techniques using breathing and proprioception, and they seem to have made so much difference Objectively -- the day before I saw Donna, I had a knot in my scapular region that caused me too much discomfort to deadlift 70%. One week later, I just hit a new 10# PR! I'll be back read more

Donna and Brion's treatment is a life-changing experience for me. As a former hockey player for 20+ years, I experienced numerous concussions and lower back pain that repeatedly affected my daily life. Additionally, I frequently experienced issues swallowing food and had severe allergies. I've spent thousands of dollars over the years on spinal decompression therapy and allergy shots, but all to no avail. After reading about Neurokinetic Therapy and Restorative Breathing, I contacted Donna. The results were immediate. Donna and Brion educated me on the chain of connection among all of these issues, and put together a plan for my body to combat the "fight or flight" response that was frequently occurring. I was given homework for NKT and RPR, and since practicing, I have not had a single issue with any of the symptoms mentioned above. While this seems too good to be true, I can say with absolute certainty that this has been the best decision I have made for my health! read more

I just had my first appointment, and all I can say is wow... I have had mid back pain for about 10 years, and after only one session I feel like a new person. She is amazing, and very knowledgeable in many modalities. After the first 10 min I felt like I was with an old friend. I am referring donna to all my family and friends. The best advise I could give someone, is to go in with an open mind, and observe what feels different. Much of the process might not be understood, but the results speak for themselves. I am lucky and blessed to of met donna, and I look forward to having her work on my family and myself in the future. She is truely a gifted person! read more

I was searching for a skilled massage therapist to help me with some running pain that I had been experiencing for many months but I was running through it. I had tried a couple Thai massage places and did not find them effective. I was looking for someone who knows muscle anatomy and can determine which muscle is involved. I found Donna after reading some of her reviews and she was exactly the answer I was looking for. Donna goes beyond massage to provide physical therapy to her clients. She was able to determine where the problem was, which muscles were involved, and then specific techniques to help activate the locked up muscles including using the central nervous system to help stimulate affected areas. She spent extra time assessing the injury, then watching my running technique and helping me to understand why this is going on. She gave me new stretches and techniques for realigning my foot strike so that I would start to gain back the balance. I was favoring one side for so long due to the pain that I affected more than just the aggravated muscle. Donna was able to get to the heart of it so it could be treated. Then, through massage, she continues to work on the area. She gives a wonderful massage. If you have specific pain or injuries and need someone who knows the body and how to bring back balance, Donna will help you. If you just want a great massage, you will love her too. She can provide much more than any other massage therapist, anywhere. She will get your body working again and keep it that way. read more

Friends from my gym highly recommended Donna. I heard she didn't show mercy and it could be excruciating, but it would be totally worth it (all ended up being very true). I was having issues with my hamstring and knees when I first went to her. Donna is incredibly knowledgeable about the body, muscles, and how it all works together. She's not the typical masseuse that does a little bit of everything all over and call it done. She focuses on your ailments, targets them after a thorough assessment, and will give you homework on how to improve those muscles (and can tell when you don't do them). When I leave her office, I always feel instantaneously better. And every time I go to her, she continues to help the muscles that need attention, gives me advice on how to strengthen them, which in turn has really helped how I feel overall and I even see drastic improvements and its effect when I'm working out too. read more

I suffer from chronic back pain and seeing Donna is the only thing that has kept my pain at bay for the last few months. She always listens to any issue I might be having and changes her approach as needed to target any specific issues. She is so much more than a massage therapist and I am so glad I found her! read more

Extremely effective. Not only are the problem areas I need worked on covered, but Donna manages to target areas I may have neglected to mention I was having discomfort in, find them, and work on those areas as well. Also, she helps find underlying issues that may be causing a discomfort you're having; when you may have been unaware it was related. Keeps up with where you were in previous visits, and helps you improve at home (as well as in her shop) through small exercises designed to improve your problem areas over time. Highly recommended. read more

I'm simply amazed at how much my pain levels have reduced since Lyn started my therapy. I've had two body damaging falls and Lyn has me on a path to recovery. The first fall has had me suffering for 3 years even after having meds, steroid injections, and other types of massage after my first visit with Lyn I was pain free for days. Both she and Donna are very knowledgeable about holistic healing. I can't recommend Bellaire massage enough. Do yourself a favor and go. read more

I had a pinched nerve that caused pain in my neck and mid-back and limited my range of motion. I tried going to a chiropractor three times a week for about a month and it just got worse. I went to Donna twice and not only did that issue completely resolve, but so did the plantar fasciitis in one foot. Now she is working on some less pressing old issues with my shoulder and hip. She also gave me good advice on prevention. I think she is amazing. read more

I've gone to several massage therapists and Donna is the best you will find! She is one of the most educated therapists I know. She knows her craft well, and will help cure your ailments with all the techniques she knows. She takes the time to get to the root of your problem and solve it. If you are having any issues with pain, go see Donna! You won't regret it. read more

I started going to Bellaire Massage Therapy since May 2017 for persistent lower back pain that I just could not get rid of. I walked out of there after the first visit feeling like my body was alive again. Donna worked extensively on my legs (which turned out to be the real culprit), and also used other therapies to loosen the fascia and other connective tissue. I then started seeing Lyn in order to have some treatment of scars and scar tissue, and I have continued seeing her for quite a few months now for regular massage therapy. She has worked wonders on making my arthritic knees feel much less pain, to where I often walk out of the office without any pain. I can highly recommend both Lyn and Donna for any sort of massage therapy. read more

Both Donna and Brion are amazing at what they do! They are helping me with a plethora of issues that I've been searching for answers to forever. I'm sleeping better than I ever have before as well as having much less pain. So glad to have found them!!! read more

I have never been more impressed than I was today. Donna is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her craft. I did not leave with just a massage today, but a holistic education on the current issues of my body and a plan of action that I can implement to resolve them and to maintain my health long term. I have had neck and shoulder tightness for a long time, for which I have used regular massages to keep controlled. Today was the first time that I have seen Donna, and leaving her office was the first time that I haven't felt that tightness in years. I am a physician and I wish that all of my patients would see Donna. She can help them in ways the medicine I prescribe cannot. read more

Massage Therapy is an understatement when speaking to Donna. She is single-highhandedly the most skilled soft tissue worker in Houston. I had an inflamed LCL on my left knee and with pain so bad I could barely walk. After a session with Donna, I was full ambulating out of her office. She has extremely deep wisdom and understanding of human mechanics. Her approach is holistic and unique and she seeks out the true root cause of your issue and addresses it properly. No matter where you live, it is worth coming to Donna and get the proper treatment right off the bat. read more

Donna does GREAT WORK. She is extremely knowledgeable about how the different systems of the body (e.g., nervous, muscle, lymphatic) relate and she is passionate about healing and teaching. I booked a deep tissue massage here after a weekend learning about anatomy through my yoga teacher training, and I am so happy I did. If one visit is transformative, I am confident multiple visits are revolutionary. I cannot praise Bellaire Massage Therapy enough, and I plan to go back many times. read more

Donna is more than a massage therapist, she is a massage guru, and has a way of reading the body and getting to the root of your issues, whether it's sore muscles, alignment issues or chronic pain. I don't even know how to explain it all - but go see her, she can. She did more in one hour to relieve my pain and range of motion issues due to a shoulder impingement than two months of physical therapy. I've had regular massages for years, but nothing compares to the true therapy I received from Donna. I left feeling the best I've felt in months, and days later I still feel better, not sore again like I do after other massages. read more

Donna Freeman was recommended to me by an internationally known muscle realignment therapist. I've been thoroughly impressed with Donna since day one. She eliminated chronic pain in my hip in one visit. She has an incredible knowledge of how the body works (muscles, fascia, nerves, brain, etc) to effectively locate and eliminate the source of pain. She utilizes many proven pain relief techniques not used by any other therapists in the Houston area. Her "homework" (exercises, stretches, breathing) assignments help reinforce the healing process. I've been to dozens of therapists for chronic pain and Donna is hands down the BEST I've ever experienced. She is outstanding in her field and is always perfecting her craft by learning the latest techniques at national and international massage therapy workshops. If you're searching for a caring, compassionate, intuitive and effective massage therapist, there's no one better than Donna Freeman. read more

So evil, in such a delightful way! Donna is a miracle worker. I am a very active athlete -- with a desk job. So I have the worst of both worlds. I have the aches and pains from hunching over a computer all day, but I also have the muscle aches from working them hard in training. Donna covers the spectrum. She is really proficient at the stretching and deep muscle manipulation that is absolutely required for sports massage, but she is also great when I walk in with my tail between my legs begging her not to hurt me and just give me a relaxing massage. I would give her more stars if I could! Or on second thought, maybe I should keep this secret to myself, to make sure I can keep getting my appointments! Sigh. Gotta help a sister out, and tell the world she is great.... read more

Thanks to Donna, I am feeling much less tense and tight than I did last week before my session with her! She is thorough, knowledgeable, and informative, and thanks to her being an independent small business owner, you don't get that rushed/ cattle call feeling that you sometimes get at busy corporate spas or massage factories. Donna is genuine and passionate about helping others, and it certainly is evident in the service that she delivers! I will definitely be a regular-- book early though as she does run a full schedule! Hey she is in demand! read more

Donna is an outstanding massage therapist. She treats the whole body recognizing that pain in one area is often caused by stress in another. She does a wide variety of massage and range of motion treatments that will get you back to fine form and pain free. She treats my Mom, my brother and my son. We all have great confidence in her. She is not only a great therapist but a great person. She is the best in Houston and Bellaire! read more

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. This is actually my first Yelp Review ever. I have been a client of Donna's for about 2 or 3 years. My body and breathing have never been better. I recommend Donna to everyone I know that is in pain and is looking to feel better. Donna has an amazing tool box. In other words, her expertise and training are one of a kind. I trust Donna when my body does not feel well. I know I will immediately feel better when I'm in her care. The new location is super cozy and welcoming. read more

Donna works in mysterious (but effective ways). When I was in pain she did something in what I thought was a completely unrelated area and it worked! This voodoo stuff works. She has a lot of knowledge about how the body is wired but she also can figure out how we are individually messed up and account for that. The BEST in Houston. read more

Donna is absolutely the most exceptional massage therapist I have ever had. I no longer live in Houston, but every time I come to visit family one of the first things I do is see if she has any availability. She has so much knowledge about misalignment and other muscular-skeletal problems and is constantly refining her technique by attending workshops and seminars. Her massages are excellent for dancers, athletes, etc. Every time I visit her I not only walk out with my whole body feeling "fixed" but also with a better understanding of what is causing my problems and daily exercises to fix them. If you are looking for a truly transformative experience, go see Donna!! read more

OMG! Donna gave me a great massage. I had been in pain for 10 years. Just one session, I'm at least 30% better afterwards just like she said I would be. I have gotten a lot of massages before. She is really the best. I'm so glad that my friend referred her to me. Really looking forward to my next treatment. Maybe I'll get my pain free life back. read more

Donna's name was given to me by my physical therapist to help me with some chronic issues involving muscles and pain. Her knowledge of physiology and her ability to pin point the source of the problem was simply amazing. I have already recommended her to several friends and I gave my daughter a couple of sessions with Donna as a gift. I am amazed at the difference after just one session. My "homework" has been keeping me busy too. I had a wonderful added bonus when she explained to me that I was not breathing correctly. She gave me some brief instructions and some breathing exercises and the difference is already noticeable. Her attention to total health and her genuine concern for her clients is so refreshing. I can't recommend her enough. read more

I had another educational visit with Donna today. She always assesses my condition and offers excellent advice to alleviate problems. She is so knowledgeable and aware of very interesting techniques to help me feel my best. She continues to inform herself of new stuff out there some might think weird, but it works! Call for an appointment. You won't be disappointed. Her evaluation is followed by an excellent massage. I always leave feeling like a zillion bucks! read more

Let me start off by saying that I have been to multiple massage therapists and clinicians to receive help for chronic back pain and none of them have compared to Donna and Bellaire Massage Therapy. I knew Donna was the right choice after my first consultation with her. She took the time to actually examine my posture, breathing, and muscle movements. She understands that chronic pain needs an integrative approach and multiple treatment modalities in order to truly heal and have a chance to improve. From experience, I have found that most clinicians will offer the same Band-Aid options in an attempt to help clients with chronic pain, however, Donna always assess the underlying issues and treats accordingly. She works with the nervous system by testing the muscles in your body, as well as encourages and teaches Z-health drills to improve the mind-body connection. She is always learning and applying the latest technology and advancements to promote the body to heal itself. Donna's use of medi-cupping and working with my lymphatic and nervous system during my massages has helped me on countless occasions. Her use of Himalayan salt stones, applying infrared light therapy during massages, as well as utilizing the Dolphin MPS on scars are just a few of the healing treatments I have received, and is just a start to what Bellaire Massage has to offer. Donna has just recently added PEMF therapy to her practice, which has been shown to promote oxygenation to previously damaged cells. I honestly believe that because of Donna and her skill set, I do not have to take any pain medications. As a Registered Nurse, I cannot tell you how hopeful I am for others who are coping with chronic pain due to my experience with such an amazing and intuitive healer. Donna's goal and motto for her clients is to give them the ability to thrive, which she truly has given me the ability to do. Thank you Donna for everything you have done for me over the past few years, I am forever grateful. read more

I have been a client for 15 yrs. Donna is amazing. She is very committed to her craft and is constantly pursuing additional training and classes to improve her techniques for the benefit of her clients. I don't think you can find a more educated massage therapist on the planet. It pays off every time. She can tackle any issue, ache, or pain and you can be assured to walk out feeling better immediately. She also gives a great relaxing massage if that is your preference. Don't go anywhere else! Once you've been to Donna you won't want to go anywhere else or you'll be disappointed. read more
