His office is only 10 minutes from my house (it takes 5 minutes to get out of my neighborhood). As a vagabond, I've seen many doctors and yet again I lucked out. I arrived at the new office on time, filled out the first-time application, was called in a few minutes later, was checked and questioned by the nurse, then waited a few more minutes for the doc to come in. Frank's pleasant to talk to and straightforward when it comes to medicine. Maybe this is because he's an osteopathic physician (I had to Wikipedia that myself. The osteopathic philosophy is similar to my own; I just didn't know there was a term for it). I was informed of and opted to get tetanus and pertussis vaccine, a blood count and cholesterol check (I even ate before coming in. I didn't know this was possible!), my lip cyst checked, and a ton of medicine for my genetic skin problem. It was all done timely and effortlessly. I have a PPO health policy, but I gladly consider Frank to be my primary physician.

After being called, I explained to the receptionist why I was there and she was very nice and asked that I wait a minute while she contacts my doctor's secretary. Okay, that seemed odd, I figured she could do the appointments but no problem. So I went back to my seat. I was tired, feeling awful and just wanted to leave. I really hoped the secretary would return any second. After 30 minutes, I got up and mentioned that I was simply trying to get an appointment and would like to get that done as quickly as possible. As I was saying that to the receptionist, the secretary arrived. She was very kind and was able to get me in that same day. They offer friendly service. Their staff members are patient and kind. I was also told I could get new patient info on their website, which is true but also directs you to call their office for up to date insurance information. It seems a referral from your primary care provider is insufficient and you must have neurological and orthopedic test results to even be reviewed by Blossom's medical director. Then it's about a 10 week wait for new patients. My Mother is down to 93 lbs because she is in such pain she has trouble eating and sleeping. I am aware of practice related protocols but the compassionate approach is sadly lacking at Blossom.

My wife has serious issues with her spine and was barely able to walk for more than a couple minutes at a time before we met Dr. Richard Guinand who was referred by my wife's primary care physician. By the time we met Dr. Guinand we were pretty much resolved that surgery would be necessary but the doctor was very reassuring and took his time explaining exactly what was going on with my wife's physical infirmities. He was very friendly and engaging, even a little humorous. He said he felt that a course of physical therapy may be enough to deal with the issues. He stressed the importance of completing the program and then recommended a few facilities for us to choose which one was the most convenient for us. We selected Bon Secours In Motion At Chilled Ponds which is only a few miles from our home, Dr. Guinand set it up and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. After a couple of months of therapy my wife's condition had improved so significantly that she no longer required a scooter when doing grocery shopping and was once again able to do yard work and pretty much anything else she wanted. I had heard good things about The Spine Center and chose them. I had a PT I was happy with and he allowed me to continue there. I was happy I did not have to make the drive several times a week.
