I made an appointment and was very impressed with the amount of prep that they go through to make sure they can help you and that you are able and willing to go through the program. They send you a link to a video where Dr. Chastanet explains what the program is and is not. You have to sign an agreement for their "No show penalty" clause. I figured if they put this much emphasis on explaining things before you even stepped in the door this was a place I could put my trust in. Dr. Chastanet and her entire staff have been fantastic guiding me through the program with my health always at the top of her concern. The office is always very accommodating with schedule requests. I enthusiastically recommend them!

My experiences the other two times I had called for help were similar, but this time I was scolded for missing appointments 2 years ago and told I wasn't allowed back because of policy. I tried explaining since I had had heart surgery decreasing missed visits now and my husband had switched jobs freeing his time. I was told I was rude and argumentative and would never be welcome in that office. She said she was the office manager and what she said is what goes and thanked me prior to hanging up on me. I have never been this hurt trying to seek help. Especially after explaining the extenuating circumstances. It is hard enough being I'll and disabled, on Medicare at 46 years old. Then to reach out for help, humble yourself by asking to make an exception, and this is the result. What has become of us as a society?

Special thanks to Taylor today. She helped me get my paperwork in order and set up a smooth payment process. I love this office. Oh by the way, Dr. Pagador renovated the whole place to allow for customer comfort and privacy. The lounge is comfy and very upscale. The bathrooms are Joanna Gaines worthy. The offices used for the visits are so calming and inviting. You will be able to relax, enjoy their services, the top-notch staff and the low prices. Yes, lower prices than I expected having researched the costs in the HR area. Enjoy!

Additionally, on the first month check in (at 3 weeks) the doctor told me I had not done a good job and needed to do more because I 'only' lost 2 lbs a week. I worked really hard to do that and was so discouraged and defeated by this. I tried not to let it affect me, but it derailed me because I felt like nothing I was doing was good enough and he was going to be nasty to me again. Not supportive or encouraging- more interested in hearing himself talk than listening to me. Sage advice like wear a Fitbit- which I already do. It is obvious that the main goal of this place is to push the hormone therapy. If you aren't interested in that- don't go here. Front office staff are lovely. I have worked with diet doctors before, and they were wonderful. There is no reason to put up with this - go elsewhere. I won't support this business with my money.

The group meetings offer excellent education for how to lose weight and keep it off. The food is actually very tasty (though some of the entrees are a bit bland - they can be "fixed up" with vegetables). So why didn't I give this a five star rating? The expense. This is an incredibly expensive program. My husband and I spent over $3,000 with them in three months and can no longer afford the program. Thus we are back on regular food and have regained the weight already. And we are close to bankruptcy (not just because of this program - medical expenses too). So if you have $$, this program is for you. If not, try Weight Watchers.
