The Highland liquor store is One of the best and most friendliest local business you can purchase assorted spirits and other beverages. Most establishments that sell spirits do not have a personality except grumpy and angry but Mike is one of the best store owners that consistently makes his products readily available and stocked, no matter what beverage you desire. The best part, Mike always Keeps the beer and assorted hard seltzer's as cold as ice. Stop by and say hello to mike and he will return the favor of his friendly personality. read more

I was buying some liquor with my friend and I went to check out before my friend and they needed his ID before they could ring me out. Okay fair, but my friend was still choosing his alcohol so I had to wait for him to finish before I could check out. The entire time I was waiting, the female staff with glasses just stared at me the whole time, and she wasn't even my cashier. She made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Eventually my friend came over and we both got our stuff and left. But I've been here a few times and the staff are always just passing by and staring at you.

They share a door with a barbershop and the storefront is tiny. From what I understand, they mostly sell wholesale to other restaurants, but they open up a small window of sales to walk-in customers. When they are sold out, they are done for the day, so get there early! Now for the donuts. Delicious, delicate, and honestly some of the best I have ever had. These are not your average gas station donuts. You can taste the care and craftsmanship in every bite. But what really blew me away was the hospitality. I had already picked out 8 donuts when I was told it was cash only. I had none on me, but offered to run out and come back if she could hold my box. Without hesitation, she handed me the box and told me to pay whenever I could. She was completely serious. That kind of trust and generosity is rare and it genuinely made my day. A few things to know before you go: it is cash only, the space is small with just a few tables and chairs, and they sell out fast. But it is absolutely worth the effort. Support this business. You will not regret it.
