It just tasted awful. To my surprise, the employee called the owner, Sarah, to inquire whether I could return this liquor. To my surprise she said no because once a bottle is opened, they don't get any credit for it. So it is expected that the customer has to lose money on the liquor that was very distasteful. What a sin that Sarah conducts her business in this fashion, because she has lost my business and a neighbor's business after I expressed my dissatisfaction with the way this was handled.

I found a few new bourbons to try thanks to Dan and one rare old favorite selling at a very reasonable price. Many places lately are jacking up the prices on the hard-to-find stuff but these folks don't play that game. They have a nice events tasting room and they run special events that I'm hoping to participate in. A nice place to spend some time browsing and chatting with knowledgeable, nice people.

She helped me out with the wine I was looking to purchase. She'll ask you questions to get a feel of what kind of wine you're looking for - is it to go with a meal or on it's own? Do you like dryer wines? etc. They have a little tasting station with about 6 wines that you can try out before purchasing. A little tip - don't chew gum before going in. It will ruin the taste of wine if you're going to try. The station itself is locked in the sense that a staff member needs to use their card for the wine to flow. A tiny yet fancy bucket next to the wine station will allow you to dispose any excess or unwanted wine. Apart from wines they also have all other kinds of liquor. This is my new wine store ! Great Store, it was a great experience! Returning the Empty Bottles was totally 'hassle free". At 1 Stop Liquors Methuen I spoke with the cashier and chatted a bit. I was amazed how big this store is and their great selection of Wine- Beer and Liquor i observed. I inquired and asked who the owner was? She pointed and said he's here in the store and pointed to him "Joe". I walked over and shook hands and aske him how he started the business. What a great story 28 Years ago and now - 6 locations! Joe started by buying a small package store from a friend's family who wanted out of the business. He was a young guy going to college -had a wife and hardly any money to his name and owing a mortgage for his home and working another job and maintaining the small Package Store on Bridge St. in Lowell, Ma. He knew nothing about this business. He made it work and grew the business. Its a great American Dream come true. I have so much respect for people like this. HE WORKED FOR IT AND EARNED IT !! Not riding on the backs of others and surprising he seemed like a pretty unpretentious person. Their Wine prices are incredibly competitive; many Wines are LESS expensive than neighboring NH stores! No need for me to go North, its right here at 1 Stop Liquors in Methuen and plenty of parking! 1 Stop Liquors carries just about everything you could imagine, Wine - Beer- Liquor and even Mass Lottery! Talking with Joe the owner was a great experience! Their pricing and service was really great too. I felt I owed them a good word and deservingly so I wanted to endorse it.
