So here I was - a California wine geek looking for a nice bottle of wine in...Cave City Kentucky???…read more To be honest, I would have been happy with just about anything. The first store had no wine at all and directed me to this place. So we took the advice and came here fearing the worst. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to walk in and be greeted by a wonderful person named Stacy. She told me where the wine was and MAN, WAS I SURPRISED! They had one of our favorite Sauvignon Blanc's (Oyster Bay). The fact is they have a very impressive selection of wines - ESPECIALLY considering that they are in the middle of nowhere, Kentucky. They also have a large selection of beers. So I picked up two bottles of my Oyster Bay and figured I would try one of the local wines as well. I selected the Black and Bruised - which is Blackberry and grape wine. When I drank the B & B i found it to be very fruity and fairly sweet. It actually tasted like grape juice with a slight berry flavor. I wouldn't drink it everyday, but did drink the bottle watching the election results at an Inn on the Outer Banks of NC. Both times I was in the store while staying at the Cave National Park, I was assisted by the very pleasant and helpful Stacy. While wandering about the store I could hear her assisting other customers and she was just as pleasant and accommodating as one can be. It was truly a pleasure for me to observe such awesome customer service. Overall an EXCELLENT place to shop and get great service. Stacy needs to come and work at the wine shop in California and teach them a little about customer service.

What does one do when in Kentucky? Go seeking bourbon, obviously. Not being familiar with the area,…read morethis was the first option that cropped upon a quick Google search so this is where we went. My friends, who have no appreciation for almost any sort of liquor, sent me in alone. I pretty much zeroed in on the bourbon selection and didn't spend much time looking at anything else. I was a little disappointed that the selection of bourbon was fairly standard for any liquor store in the general midwest vicinity. Prices were standard. Service was amiable enough. Everything looked clean and organized.

Tucked in the corner of the complex anchored by Publix on Lebanon Pike just a block from Briley…read moreParkway, Music City Wine and Spirits is your quintessential local liquor store. While all aspects are standard, they do have something others don't...a freezer stocked with ready-made Italian meals - Who doesn't love a good lasagna to go with your whiskey! In addition to all the classic stuff, they have a small corner dedicated to THC and even cigars. So, a good variety outside the norm. And speaking of, they are well stocked on all the brands, local and major, that you are after. Service was friendly. The young fella at the register engaged us when we approached the counter, and chatted us up about FIFA as he rang us up. While this spot is convenient and well stocked, pricing here is a bit higher than other spots. Example being a bottle of Hendricks here is $48, while at other places it's around $36. Overall, decent spot. As long as you are aware about the pricing, then all good and a solid place to scoop up the boozy necessities.

BEWARE PRICE GOUGING!!!!…read more Stopped in to grab a bottle of Tito's and two bottles of bubbles - guy rings it up - $122!!!!! I'm sorry, WHAT??? Lamarca Prosecco is $10.99 at Total Wine. Tito's is $23. They are charging $30 per bottle of Lamarca and $45 for a Tito's. DOUBLE normal retail. I told him to take the bubbles off. I kept the Tito's and two soda waters - still $60. Complete ripoff. He just shrugged his shoulders and said, well you're downtown. A tip screen also pops up that he quickly tapped for me before I could see it... I should have asked for a printed receipt. Buyer beware!
