Sometimes the pricing is cheaper online, and it's reflected when it's scanned at the register. Also not all bourbon is in order. There was a bottle they definitely had , but I couldn't find it and took a few minutes for an associate to locate it. Therefore, I highly recommend to order online and pickup later. (I would have saved about 30mins ordering online ). Not that I'm complaining, just stating a fact. Pricing for scotch and non allocated bourbon is excellent. Lower than anyone , save Costco. I came specifically for a Laphroaig lore cask strength, $85. Grabbed a few other goodies.

She talked to me like I was stupid and then got weird and aggressive when I asked if they had gift bags, telling me they charge for those. I was just asking if they had them! I wasn't asking for anything free, though that would have been nice considering I spent over $200 and then was snapped at like I was trying to get a handout. The young college kids working in there also get treated poorly by the stuff I overheard. The store is small, cramped, and they hover over you for taking a look. More security cameras than a bank. Just straaaaange vibes in there. Will just make the drive to Newport next time.

They also have a big selection of cigars in their humidor. They are always helpful and can recommend something if you let them know what you are looking for. They can also place special orders as I will sometimes order a half case or full case of wines that I like a lot. There is usually something on sale being displayed when you walk in. They also offer a discount if you buy three or more bottles. Before Covid, I came here for many years for their weekly wine tastings. For a mere $5 to $10, they would always offer up a great selection of wines to taste. Unfortunately, they haven't had any wine tastings since Covid, but almost everything I know about wine I owe to Vendome and their many years of great tastings. I actually have a file folder that contains a two inch stack of tasting sheets that I kept which go back as far as 2010. Thanks Vikki, David (RIP), Eva, Danny, and everybody else here who is always so friendly and helpful. I always buy my lotto tickets here also. I explained that I didn't and only took one at a time. He insisted that I was stealing so I told him to come look in my car that was parked right on the curb; he refused to leave the counter and insisted that I took an extra bag. I took a picture of the ice in the back of the car to show him but he was rude and continued to say I took more, so i tried to remind him of all the business I gave him last year. He was a rude d*ick. I will not return to give this shop any money ever again. I work in another local small Buena Park business, and I was wearing my work shirt with the logo, AND I paid with a company card. I didn't need to steal a $5 bag of ice. F*uck you, get wrecked.
