CRAFT BEER SELECTION!!…read more If you are a beer snob like me, you will LOVE this place. They have several aisles of local and nationally distributed craft beers in every style imaginable. They also have a massive cooler of 6 packs. But wait, there's more! The best part is the pick your own 6 pack!!! They have a large selection of singles from local area beers to beers from popular breweries in SD, CO, WI, IA, IL and more! They also have singles of ciders and canned cocktails if you're into that. The singles are fairly priced. The average price of a 12 ounce is $1.99! I haven't really looked elsewhere but they appear to have a massive wine and hard liquor selection. They Also have a bar with liquor tastings if you're into that. The staff is very nice and often walking around asking if you need help with anything. I highly recommend this place!

I was headed to an event over in the same area so I was able to load up a couple bags with ease and headed out after a quick check out process. UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP AS OF 2 WEEKS AGO…read more Surprisingly good whiskey selection. They had Blantons, Blanton Gold, two Four Roses Single Barrel options, Eagle Rare, and others on the shelf. The prices were mixed. Some items were very reasonable. Some were slightly high. None were outrageous. Beer selection was somewhat poor. Nothing interesting (my taste is European imports or American crafts mimicking German/Belgian beer.) Lots of Coors, Miller, Bud. The person working there did not know much about whiskeys, but she was brand new. She was incredibly nice. They are doing well with displays in an old building. Props to them. Keep getting interesting Whiskeys and offer beers you cannot find in elsewhere in Glenwood, and this will be a 5 star shop. They have a cigar humidor that is ACTUALLY climate controlled. (Very nice)

I ended up with a sixer of Mexicali beer, which I had never seen before. For $6, it wasn't a bad price for this straight forward Mexican pilsner. The clerk was friendly, even a bit surly with an off-kilter sense of humor. Heck, most places like this don't know how to size me up because I take my sweet time browsing the shelves. This on top of the fact that I look like I'm 18 even though I'm 33. I get sick of being ID'd all the damn time, but I suppose there are worse problems to have. Like one of the other reviewers stated, World Liquor has an amazing selection of liquor. In my…read morecase, I happened to be looking for a specific bottle of bourbon and I thought - why not! Well I was embarrassingly surprised at the quality of bourbons that they had behind the counter. Let's face it, If you're looking for anything Buffaloe Trace, or Heaven Hill etc... They have it! You may ask then why the low rating score?... Well, If you're into paying 200% and upwards over msrp for a bottle of liquor, then this is the place for you. I am not sure how this place survives with competing grocers and other well established sprit shops within 15-20 minutes of each other that carry the same brands. In some instances you may have to enter a raffle for the Wellers, Pappy's etc. But you would never pay 200% over msrp, which let's be honest - this is probably the worst price gouging in the state! Before someone states "that's business 101" I understand that they are in business to make a buck! But charging over $300 for a $35-50 bottle of bourbon? This is some type of slum-lord ownership that I personally would not mind seeing close its doors - which probaby will not happen bc everyone needs their hooch!
