It's been a few years since Liquid FX built my pool (during the Pandemic). Given that enough time has passed to gauge the build quality and their responsiveness to any issues and warranty calls, I figure it's time for a review. They did a good job and built what exactly what I wanted. Here's the run-down on the details: Sales and Design Process Our sales person/designer and Mike, the owner, were both great. They had excellent ideas and advice, didn't try to force us into building something they've built before, were open to anything we wanted to do, and were responsive. They were creative and very excited about the design process and clearly wanted to build something cool. Five stars. Responsiveness and Reachability This is where Liquid Fx really shines. Not only can you call their main number, but they give you nearly everyone's cell numbers. When something goes wrong or you have a question, they immediately pick up or answer your text and address the issue. I appreciated this. Five stars. Scheduling of Workers and Subs This was good. There was a week or two when not much, if anything, went on. A few things slipped through the cracks here and there or had to be rescheduled at the last minute. But, for the most part, they stayed on schedule. Probably wasn't easy for them during COVID. Four stars. Project Management I must have heard four or five times from an employee or sub, "I wish someone had told me that." That's not something I wanted to hear. From having the wrong plans on site the first day of the dig, to things that we agreed on that weren't in the final plan, to forgetting to re-route the drainage and lay some irrigation pipes prior to pouring concrete, to scheduling the final inspection prior to re-installing the fence, there were a number of issues that better project management and internal communication would have prevented. But, to their credit, they remedied everything and made everything right. Three stars. Project Inspection / Quality Control During Build Things started out great here, but fell off as the build went on. A handful of things were either not installed, installed wrong, or missed. And these things weren't discovered until well after the pool was built and filled. A thorough inspection by a project manager/inspector would have prevented these things from being issues. But, again to their credit, everything was fixed with a call or text. Three stars. Quality of Subs Their subs were all polite, hard-working, and most (except for the initial wall-builders) kept a clean jobsite. The concrete sub, a father-and-son team, were especially great. They did exquisite work, were very flexible with design changes during the process, and were a pleasure to work with. Four stars. Making Things Right I don't know what I can say that I didn't already say. They stood behind their work, were responsive to issues, and I ended up with a fantastic pool that is exactly what I wanted. Five stars. Warranty and Requests After the Build You really don't get to know if the pre-sale sincerity of a contractor is the real thing until after the build is done and they have your money. When our heat-pump died during the warranty period, an upgraded model was promptly installed. When a part failed in the system after the warranty, Nick and his crew not only diagnosed the problem and fixed it for no-charge, they spent a great deal of time and effort reengineering it so it was better than the manufacturers design, ensuring that I wouldn't have the same problem again. I appreciate that they stand behind their work and it didn't take herculean efforts to get things resolved. Five stars. The Bottom Line I love my pool and was generally happy with the process. My advice to anyone hiring Liquid Fx (or any pool contractor, for that matter) is to stay on top of things, educate yourself about the process and the products they're installing, check their work, inspect your own project daily, and let them know promptly when something isn't right. If you have a contractor like Liquid Fx that stands behind their work, they'll make sure they get it right and you'll get exactly what you wanted. I had a pool built by Liquid FX approximately 3 years ago. Everythingwas fine until recently. The pool developed a small hole about the size of a pencil eraser. Out of the hole came rust which stained the pool. I called Liquid FX about the problem, it has now been two weeks with no information about fixing the pool and the company now does not return my calls. I feel they are now just ignoring me. I now am in the process of getting bids to repair the pool and will be filling a small claim case against them as soon as I get estimates. In my estimation this is not a way to run a company and now I am in the process of seeking relief thru the court system. I cannot now recommend this company. I got a call from the owner this morning. He stated that he has been out town for two weeks but they will be out soon to look at the problem. read more

From our experience I would not use LiquidFX! We have been waiting months for them to fix issues with our pool and we keep keep getting the run around. Concrete fixes, plaster repair, and a failing wall. They have not made us a priority. The communication is limited. Numerous emails with the owner and son. "let me work on getting the plaster company out there to review". "I'm waiting on Israel to give me a day he can fix the stucco where it peeled back from the wall. I will be by next week to do the mastic and clean." One excuse after another! Save yourself the time, energy and frustration! read more

In April 2023, I signed a contract with Liquid Fx Inc for a swimming pool and spa construction. I am not happy with how our swimming pool and spa turned out, or the service we received from Liquid Fx. Our final cost for the swimming pool and spa, including all change orders with Liquid Fx was $341,769.34. Liquid Fx is the worst company I have ever hired. I would not recommend using Liquid Fx for anything. read more

We had our front yard designed and installed by Liquid FX. The design was very good, and the work done on schedule and to the agreed specifications. It was not cheap--$25,000 in fact--but we were pretty happy with the results. That was about 3 years ago. This year, however, I called them for a 'refresh' trimming, weeding, new mulch, stake removal, etc. I wasn't surprised at the quote for this job--nearly $2000-but I expected a top notch job that mIshtar take a couple of days of work. I was promised a lot more than was delivered, however. I was deeply disappointed in what was actually done. First, it was delayed by weeks, was only partially and quickly done (6 hours in one day--two guys), and follow up fertilization not completed. Large patches of dead ornamental grass was not removed, many weeds remained, and the weeds coming up through the compressed walkways regrew in two weeks (they were not completely removed in the first place as should have been done). A follow up phone call to the company has yet to get the remaining work done (I did pay them). I feel ripped off. read more

We finished our pool build with these guys a while ago. It didn't go well. They claimed to be really high end, but they just seemed like high price to us. We're still having issues with our pool now. Not good workmanship or service from these guys. We wished we had used someone else. read more

We wish we had never met these guys. We couldn't even finish the dig and we were so disgusted with them we wish we had chosen a different pool builder (ANY other pool builder). Reading some of the other reviews, at least we're not alone. Buyer beware. read more

Not happy with how things turned out with this company. We ended up having to hire others to finish their work. Their work didn't seem to hold up well over time either and it hasn't been that long. Cannot recommend. read more

Mike and Nick with Liquid FX did an excellent job on making my pool look natural. Throughout the build they were meticulous with rock placement and maintaining high quality. I have had the opportunity to work with many contractors on my project and listen to friends on the stories with their pools and in the end Liquid FX would be one of the only contractors I would recommend.
