One of the best homemade Pizzas available in NW Wisconsin. Our main reason for eating here. It is a smaller place & can be real busy at times. If you are in a hurry probably not a good choice! However while waiting for your pizza they have a full bar. I can personally recommend the Draft Beer & my wife enjoyed a few mixed drinks. Otherwise they have cold cans of pop too. Very nice staff, but from what I have seen 2-4 people run the whole place. So again if its busy & you are in a hurry, not the place. They are hiring however! So if you bartend or waitress & think you could help them out go for it! Also have had the Franks Red Hot Chicken & French Fries from the appetizers section of menu. Both were awesome! Obviously the chicken was very spicy. My wife would not even try it! But she liked the french fries. When busy it can be a bit loud, but no more so than anywhere else. It is a bit of a drive from any of the nearest towns, but totally worth it in my opinion read more

Definitely a series of mishaps...we went there on Saturday night around 5:30pm, the dinner special was prime rib and they were out of prime rib. The wait for the pizza was an hour maybe a little longer. We ordered the chicken dinner and the food was good. While we were eating we heard the waitress offer prime rib to the new tables that sat down. That was a little disappointing. I guess they had 8 pieces left. When it came time to pay the bill the waitress told us that their internet was down (again) and that they couldn't accept credit cards and Oh by the way our ATM machine is down too. I asked if dinner was free then :-) We did manage enough cash to pay the bill. read more

Not very friendly, ordered cheese curds & didn't get any sauce & couldn't get the bartender's attention for the sauce or more service. It was pretty cold outside & our phone battery went dead. I asked the bartender if she had an Apple charger we could use & without even thinking about it, she said we don't have one (maybe so). I asked the whole bar if anybody had a charger & no response (maybe so). Plus the gentleman next to us was not snowmobile friendly. There was not a good Vibe there at all. We went to the next bar & right away, they let us use a charger. I gave that lady bartender a nice tip. We will never go back to Lipsie again & will be sure to share with others. read more

Quaint restaurant just didn't care for food. It's more like a country bar but food is ok but not some place I go to often.

This is probably one of the best pizza's in the north woods. They make it from scratch right there and it's really good. I didn't think a pizza could have too much cheese, but this one is approaching that threshold. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The bar has great prices on drinks and the crowd is a mix of locals and weekenders. The place could use some updating, very hodgepodge decorations and additions to the building. The bathrooms are awful. Every time I go there they smell horrible. It's definitely a fun bar with great food. Just go outside if you need to go to the bathroom. read more

Awesome Pizza as my wife would say" it is worth the calories"... Very friendly bar and restaurants, we feel comfortable bringing children to this establishment. We like the regular crust deluxe pizza. Best pizza we can find out side of Chicago. When family comes to the cabin from Chicago, this is the Pizza they want. read more

If you are a Northwoods native, I am sure you have had a few bad dining experiences. Well let me just tell you about my not bad, but horrid experience at Lispie Pines.. We decided to go out last night, and we figured we'd try something new, so headed down the road to Lipsie Pines. When we arrived it was just an average tavern scene, except there was no music playing, or TV's on. Just seemed like a quiet place. We sat for about five minutes until the waitress came, took our drink orders, and came back in a timely manner with our beverages, all seemed alright. She came back and took our food orders, which were very hard to decide upon due to the over abundance of fried food and no fresh/healthy options. My mom and sister ordered were both forced to order very expensive dinners in order to feed themselves and still remain GLUTEN FREE. My father ordered the Bison Burger, and I just ordered their dinner salad. After 10 minutes the dinner salad came, along with my mom and sister's side salads. It was obvious to everyone at the table that they had simply dumped a bag of shredded lettuce on plates, placed two typical red tomatoes and cucumber slices on the side, and then accompany the salad with a tiny side of ranch. At this point we still held the restaurant to the northwoods standard, and we remained fairly calm. It wasn't until 45 minutes after the salad delivery that we were both frustrated by the lack of food and the failure of the waitress to refill any of our drinks since the first pour. The waitress was nice and calm, and I just can't blame all of this on her. 15 minutes later we finally received our food, expecting large plates filled with 45 minute preparation quality.... Well let's get started: My mother ordered the $16 dollar sirloin, which seemed to be a lightly grilled/heavily fried piece of low quality beef. This was paired with a desert dry baked potato, and a freezer burnt cup of apple sauce.... My sister ordered bbq pork, which actually turned out to be decently tasty, but it also featured that infamous cup of apple sauce. Now my father, he ordered the BISON BURGER, as she slid the plate over to him I had to hold in laughter, as he received what seemed to be a hockey puck shoved between two buns. The burger had 0 toppings, only two pickles on the side, and no side. To top this all off, the burger had NO FLAVOR WHAT SO EVER. At this point we were annoyed to the point of laughter, waiting 15 minutes for our check. Needless to say, we left with a sour taste in our mouth. I think you've got my opinion now on Lipsie Pines. Voyager Village, The Shop, and Gliders are all better alternatives to this place. To wrap this up, I have been in the northwoods for 7 years, and I know what to expect with these restaurants compared to the Chicago restaurants I'm used to back home.
