Like utilities meant.. they divide up the water and sewerage bill between all students in the building and take it out of the security deposit at the end of the term. Whenever you sign a lease, he tells you if you write a good review you will be given freebies. If you get more people to sign a housing agreement, you are also given a monetary reward as well. While that's not a red flag itself, he REALLY pushes it and halfway shames you if you can't pull a friend into a lease with you (he did to me). The next thing is, Matt is a liar. That's the simple truth. You can own and operate a business without being straight up dishonest with your clientele (many of which are YOUNG college kids). Your leases are never definite and he will gladly put you in an apartment you've never toured or looked at (like I had happen). Secondly, his apartments are DIRTY. He doesn't even hire a cleaning service to clean his apartments over the summer or before move-in. You will need to deep-clean your apartments or else you will have to buy new socks constantly. He also doesn't make repairs and you will possibly find broken sheetrock, tiles, whatever else in your apartment. The equipment he puts into his apartments are crappy. They break, and he will not rush to fix anything for you. I've heard the same from at least 2 of my friends that stayed in his apartments as well. While I wouldn't go so far as to say he is the worst landlord out there, he certainly is not the best in Bloomsburg in terms of housing. There are plenty of more affordable apartments that are of a higher quality around. Please don't fall for all of the fake reviews on google because they are sponsored and he has negative ones removed.

I have lived in Fairview Suites as a student for about 2 years. The dorm hall it's self has two…read moreelevators, multiple staircases and study rooms. Downstairs they have the laundry room, two living rooms, a kitchen, computer lab with three computers and one printer, a ping pong room and a huge flex room. The room are super spacious and comes with two; beds, desk, dressers and wardrobe. The bathroom is fairly big. Each room you can control the heat and AC to a point but still nice to be able to change! The private rooms have a nice common area along with two private rooms. The only complaint I have is the ceilings are very thin. It's easy to hear the stomping and loud music if there is any above you. Thus if this bothers you easily I would highly suggest living on fourth! Fairview is not like the typical dorm halls, you don't know you neighbors too well but, don't let that stop you on getting to know them! The dorm is kept clean and the trash taken out daily! The custodians are super nice and friendly! Overall pretty nice dorms!

Campus is easily accessible off of Rt 80. Approximately 3 miles and a straight shot that is made even easier by all the signage. The famous Turkey Hill inn is nearby as well. Picturesque setting with mountains on several sides of the campus. After interacting with 5-6 coeds trying to find the bookstore (all were extremely amicable) I found it. Meter parking across the street. (.25 for 25 minutes) I had visual aids, aka screenshots, of the gear we wanted. Lisa, the Manager, was very helpful, and even gave me 20% off for Alumni discount. Took some more pics, never found Carver Hall, (got a Postcard instead) and left very impressed.

Beautiful campus with many new renovations that have just been completed. This includes Sutliff Hall, where I spent most of my time. It's a gorgeous new building. Best advice I can give to anyone going to Bloom, get involved and be involved with as much as possible and your experience here will be awesome. Go Huskies!!
