Today, she went in looking for pasties but did not find what she wanted and left without purchasing anything. Shortly afterward, a new employee came outside, took photos of my car, and falsely accused my daughter of stealing. We immediately went back into the store and told her there was no theft and that she should review the security cameras if she truly believed otherwise. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she became rude, aggressive, and threatened to call the police. I told her to go ahead, and we called as well. The police told us over the phone that proof of a theft would be needed. We waited for the officers to arrive, and after speaking with everyone and reviewing the situation, nothing happened because there was no evidence or video showing that anything had been stolen. What made the situation even more upsetting was that white men entered and left the store before and after us without making purchases, yet they were not questioned or accused of anything. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution people of color -- and honestly anyone -- before shopping at this store. False accusations and unprofessional behavior like this should never happen to any customer.

I've read the "bad" reviews on this account, and find myself wondering what y'all did to get them to react in a way that you'd give them a low review, seeing as I know how some folks can be when they don't get a discount they think they were owed, or when they show up 10 minutes before closing and wonder why someone who may have plans later is trying to get you out of the store. Its not a corporate shop. Its a one-man show, so keep that in mind when you go visit.

Well, we're taking it to a whole new level today Yelp community! Today, I am Yelping the "old lady underwear store" located in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre but the truth is that Soma is not just for old ladies. You probably won't find Christian Gray-endorsed lingerie here but you will find plenty of lacey thongs and cleavage revealing bras. For those wanting more coverage, there are plenty of options for those styles too. Basically, when you are too mature for Victoria's Secret, Soma is a wonderful upgrade in quality and class. Soma's PJs are super comfortable and offered in an ever evolving variety of fun pints. If you want something for a different kind of fun, you can find something here for that too. Wink. My very favorite Soma offering is the super comfortable and flattering collection of summer dresses. Others apparently love the dresses too because they sell fast. Forever I have referred to Soma as the "old lady underwear store" because it is owned by Chico's. I still think I am too young for Chico's (and will be for the next two decades) but I do like Soma. The staff here is knowledgeable about the proper fit of undergarments and very helpful in general. Consider taking them up on their offer for a bra fitting because as stylist Stacy London will attest, a proper fit of clothing begins with the proper fit of undergarments.

Yankee Candle stores used to be everywhere, but over the years many of them have closed down. Yankee used to carry some of my favorite fragrances, so I was delighted to see one in the mall and promptly bee lined to it. The store was fragrant and well organized as always. The cashier was friendly and helpful with explaining the current specials and offering me demos of the latest fall fragrances. I've been on a tea light candle kick lately, so the $5 boxes of tea light candles was perfect for what I was looking for. I purchased 3 boxes, but when I got them home I was disappointed. One scent you could barely smell and the other one you couldn't smell at all. I considered returning them, but absolutely did not feel like making the drive back out to Arundel Mills. At $5 a box I guess you get what you pay for. I will stick to my Pier 1 Import tea lights. Sad, because I really was a fan of Yankee Candle :/

She provided white-glove service throughout the entire fitting process. She was patient, receptive to my feedback, and made me feel comfortable during the process. I especially appreciated that she always asked for permission before entering the fitting room, demonstrating a thoughtful awareness of consent in a very personal setting. Ipti provided me a wide variety of bra styles and prices. she was receptive to feedback and would pivot based off my feedback. Once I finished the fitting and wanted to browse the store on my own, she clearly explained the store layout and different sections. At checkout, she carefully wrapped my purchase and attached care and cleaning instructions to my receipt, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. Overall, the store was clean and well-organized. The prices were higher than stores like Victoria's Secret for example, but the quality of the products, brands, and personalized service make for that cost difference. It was clear that the business genuinely wanted customers to leave with products that have quality and work well. The only note really from me on the layout was a room in the back left corner of the store that looked different from the rest of the store and had its door wide open. I wasn't sure whether it was a stockroom or part of the shopping. If it is a staff-only space, some additional signage or keeping the door shut might help avoid confusion for first-time visitors. Another thing I noted was that I was able to hear the employees in the backrooms discussing another employees background check. I LOVE to gossip but having these conversations where customers can hear could be deemed unprofessional and someone could abuse this information. Overall, I enjoyed browsing the store and the service and would love to return for future fittings and purchases.
