He came and did as he promised and I was beyond impressed with the results. My aunt is much older so needed someone trustworthy who wouldn't try to take advantage of her. Gary and his business were recommended by a very close person. And that person honestly believed…read moreGary about all the great work he had done. Well we talked to Gary and felt we were getting a great deal, he seemed very nice and talked about his business brother having church and all and he showed us all these great looking pictures of jobs he had done. He made it sound like he and his brother and workers did the work. Well no, he hired workers to do the dirty work. The problem was the work wasn't as great as he said it would be. there wasn't any supervision on the job. Gary was nowhere to be found when we needed him. so he shows up a day or so later and brought a couple of workers to re-do some work. And while they were working he waited for his check. well after the workers left my wife & I inspected all the work and found many other things that weren't done properly. We gave him plenty of time to get back with us and resolve the dispute but he never returned our calls and never left any messages on our machine. Needless to say, we're very disappointed. This job was done in December, it's now mid-february and still no word. I won't trust him anymore and I will not recommend him. Besides the flooring, he and his brother convinced us to have our TV mounted on the wall over the fireplace, they did the work themselves, they said they've done it before. The Tv stayed up for about 3 months, it fell off damaging other things and the TV fell flat on its face. You guessed it, broken, doesn't work. We bought a new TV a couple of days ago, we'll have real pros to install this one. They seemed like very nice people but, what a shame.

Several days after they finished the job, I noticed there was a large puddle of water in the middle of the driveway caused by the rain (see pics). This means that they did not slope the concrete correctly to provide proper drainage. I reached out to Mark, the owner, and at first he blamed me for it. After further discussion, he agreed to send someone over to check on the issue the next day. However, the guy did not show up. I sent Mark a few text messages and he never replied back. This is not a legitimate or professional company. When I first talked to Mark, he had told me he was licensed. And after the contract signed, he told me he was not licensed. Do not trust this company for your concrete work.

The fact that this happened just before the holidays made it an absolute nightmare. The mold company recommended a general contractor, but we couldn't rely on him to finish the build-back in time for holiday guests. Rafael's guys are back this month doing additional work for us -- installing new floors and painting the family room and one of the bedrooms, as well as renovating another bathroom. You may be able to find cheaper contractors but you won't find any that are as professional, trustworthy or caring as Rafael Salas and the RSR Construction family.
