The ethic seems to be around upselling, making sales so they can go to the sales gathering in Hawaii, that sort of thing. I called for service of the backup battery...and $2000 later, I have a new this and that, except now, neither light on the opener comes on, so I drive into my garage in the dark. I have less functionality than before I called for service. The friendly sell-me-everything-in-the-truck guy became quite snarly when I called him back to look at the (now worse) opener lights. Yep, the guy put in writing that I need a new opener (another $1500), and yep, I was stupid in listening to the fast talk for how the new springs and bearings would make everything work better. But when the opener finally goes, I will be calling anyone but these people.

I can't say enough about A-Team Garage Doors. We had gotten a couple of quotes from the 'larger…read morebrand companies' and put the project on hold based on the prices we were quoted. Then we found A-Team when our opener broke, and the person that came out for repair suggested we have them quote the doors. When I got the quote, I was very skeptical. The price for doors of the same visual style was 50% less than the other quotes I had. I then did a side by side comparison of the door quality, and the thickness, backing/build and r value were all better on the A-Team doors. We pulled the trigger and were quoted 6 weeks. 6 weeks later - almost to the day - the doors were delivered to A-Team, and they were ready to install them immediately. They came out that day and installed both doors in a matter of hours. These were not cheap doors - and we were in-part paying for style... faux wood metal doors with window panes and proper insulation ruggedness for 8,200 feet. One of my biggest concerns was whether they would look like wood or would the pattern repeat and be obvious. Not only did they look great to my eye, but I just got the best compliment from my neighbor who asked, are those wood doors? Just what I wanted to hear! A-Team truly are just that. They seemed very capable Of replacing our garage door motor and belt drive. They didn't specialize in our type of motor but offered a replacement option and bid three levels of replacement fully installed. They were friendly and I did not have a negative experience. We ended up using a different complaint but I have to say that this company was the first to respond to the project request before 7am in the morning and they were at our home to assess by 10am. I had a great experience and feel like they could have done the work just as easily.
