When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by one of the co-owners who was wearing her own baby. I'm a first time mom (22 weeks pregnant) so we've been shopping sales and watching prices to start our cloth diapering collection. NOLA had a huge collection of new cloth diaper brands to search through with tons of cute patterns and all the accessories you can think of. The co-owner politely answered every single one of my questions and kept checking on us (not in a bad way) and referred us to things she though were good. She definitely actually cared that we were successful and had good things instead of just wanting us to buy more stuff. She even showed us to their consignment section (she could smell the young and broke on us) and it was even more extensive!! She helped us look through all of the baskets and showed us the cutest colors. It was just a really wonderful experience. Overall, stores like this are really important and empowering because it's all about moms helping moms. Not just customer to business owner but a lot of their merchandise was from local moms or mom-centered businesses. This place doesn't do anything halfway!

I was first and only person in line . The owner was such a doll to deal with and so I was able to get exactly what I wanted while paying retail! I feel like a larger retail mall would have higher rent for some of the independent stores. All the owners and staff are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the products in their stores. There is a vintage video game store, comics, collectible trading cards, sports cards, toys and a great small used vinyl record store that also sells VHS and CDs. I honestly wouldn't have known the amount of stores in the mall by the signage outside. My favorite store is the used vinyl store where I was able to find some real hard to find records with not a lot of markup and ones that I can't easily find even on the internet. I hope that the new owners can keep renovating the outside and inside of the mall while still being able to keep a lot of the independent stores within the mall.

There are very few shops (more offices), and the ones that do exist do not seem to be doing very much business, as the mall is eerily empty. I would certainly love to see this mall rejuvenated, as Port Orchard could definitely use more refreshing, but it is going to take a lot of work to make this space a desirable shopping destination. Pro-Tip: There is a collector's shop (including old video games), an independent bookstore, and a small bakery on the first floor that are definitely the best this mall has to offer at this time.
