We've been on the hunt for good Chinese food in Manassas for years and have always come up disappointed in three areas - freshness, spring rolls, and texture. Friends recommended Lin's and I'm pleased to say this may be our go to! We ordered online and picked it up on a Sunday evening and there were several folks dining in at the time which is great to see. The inside was very clean with all the sauces and utensils/chopsticks available to grab when you pick up the order. They had a hot sauce which we liked. We ordered general Tsos, hunan chicken, Taiwan rice noodles and vegetable rolls. Both the general tsos and hunan came with small containers of white rice. The veggie rolls were just spring rolls with cabbage but the shell was crispy and the cabbage still held up.. no mushy insides. The general tsos chicken was all white meat and good texture, but a bit lacking in spice. When we order again we will ask for more spice. Similarly the hunan chicken had a pepper next to it on the menu but had very little spice, but was redeemed by the number of fresh veggies. The squash in it was amazing! The noodles were not greasy, had good flavor and came with a good amount of chicken, beef and shrimp. The lack of grease and oil was very refreshing and will definitely have us ordering again! My go-to place for to-go Chinese. It's quick, the portions are generous, it's tasty. I've ordered from Lin's maybe 10-15 times, and I have never been disappointed. Their General Tso's is outstanding - actual chunks of white meat chicken (some places have much more bread and gristle than the chicken meat). My only complaint is sometimes the fried things (like the Chinese donuts or the sweet and sour chicken) can taste/be too oily. But, to remedy that I just don't order that stuff. So, Lin's is my go-to and will continue to be my go-to. I love Lin's!!! read more

My friend ordered chicken wings so we were expecting a traditional 4 or 5 regular sized wings but was given party drumsticks, pathetic. Also their regular dishes are grossly overpriced. My family has been coming here for years! Whenever we're craving take-out Chinese this is the only place we like in the area. It's great food, never lacking in flavor, and pretty good portions for the price. You have to try the salmon bowl with veggies and the yum yum sauce! For the people saying they're unfriendly, I never felt that way. They seem to be working on a system that works for them during a pandemic, to make it as contact-less possible (so they may come off very unfriendly to some) but I believe those ladies are working hard to keep themselves and their customers safe. Delivery was great. We heard that Lin's is good and tried them 2 times. Both times, we received brown, not fried, rice. I am unclear why people are raving about this place. This a pretty standard American Chinese take out establishment. There's nothing unique or authentic about this place. It's perfectly good American Chinese but's NOT authentic Chinese & it not fantastic. I had the hibachi chicken & it's basically stir fried all chicken thigh meat with a 1/4 amount of veggies ON A HUGE BED of RICE. The chicken & veggies are tossed in a very small amount of teriyaki. I could barely taste it. I had to add 2 packets of soy sauce to the entire entree to give it the dish flavor. The veggies are cabbage, broccoli & carrots. It was fine but I was not that impressed & definitely won't be returning anytime soon. I also found the staff to be a bit surly & unapproachable. They did not make any attempt to be welcoming, friendly, helpful or kind. They charged a buck extra to add a few snow peas. That's OK, they gotta make money wherever they can. However, when I got home, the "cashew" chicken was made with peanuts. We've ordered from Lin's a handful of times and it has always been great! The food is delivered piping hot and packaged well. Every order has been delicious! We love their General Tso's Chicken (sauce is rich and tangy) and Sweet & Sour Chicken (batter is crispy and not soggy). Don't sleep on their Sweet Donuts... they're delectable! This place is awful, I got a beef and broccoli. Pretty simple, regular take out dish and it tasted nothing like it. It had a hint of seafood which was weird. As If they cooked it in the same pot as a seafood dish which is pretty irresponsible of them. I'm lucky I'm not allergic to seafood. And when I walked in I'm expecting someone to be at the register so I could pay for my pick up order and they had me waiting for a long time without anyone there to greet or help me and all the while a worker was eating slightly behind the register stand. I'm knocking my review for this place down a review. Too much onion, the food is bland, and wonton soup aside, nothing I ate was really good. There was one dish I had that had WAY too much flavor. I got a roast pork mei fun dish, and it just looked terrible, by the way they prepared it and the way it was served. The pork did not look cooked, and the noodles had way too much salt and pepper on them (so it appeared, and it made it very uneasy to eat). Not to mention the entire dish was coagulating from one part of the tupperware to the other. Very unappealing. Yeah! I'm a. fan, seriously. I love the chicken and steak combo bowl and then I get that red/pink sauce they have off to the side no drizzle that all over it and find myself in my own sort of heaven. All orders are cooked as they come in so expect a 10 minute wait at least but At least you know it is completely fresh and piping hot even after you drive it home and sit to chomp down on it. Why on earth does this place have 4 stars? What kind of trickery is this? I visited based on Yelp! reviews and was extremely disappointed. I wanted fried rice, veggies and some chicken. I started with Veggie rolls which were so incredibly greasy. I did the old paper towel trick, did a few dabs and bit into it....only to discover the veggie filling was cold. Noy warm bt cold. How is that possible for a deep fried item? Ugh. They offered to remake it and the new batch was much better so, yes, kudos on customer service I guess. Now, the main meal? Yuck! I don't especially like Panda Express but that is loads better this stuff. I felt terrible because my friend wanted P.f. Genuine food cooked to order Lin's Grill & Teriyaki house is new addition to the bull run shopping center anchored by Shoppers, adjacent to sweetfrog. We had the number 6 and 8 combos, which were grilled chicken and steak, respectively, with vegetables. We declined the rice. Both dishes were amazing. The chicken was grilled with a nice crunchy char. The steak was sliced very thin and was tender, juicy, and delicious. Both were covered with a slightly sweet sauce which I would avoid next time, personally, or get on the side since I don't like sweet sauces on meats. But the sauce itself was really good, flavor wise, if that's your thing. I definitely won't dock them a star for it. The vegetables, to me are the real draw. A mountain of broccoli, cabbage, etc. cooked on the hibachi with what tasted like a little bit of garlic and ginger. Amazing. The prices here are very reasonable. Anything from veggie plate $5 to salmon for $9. I am so stoked about this place opening up in Manassas. It blows Panda out of the water. (Probably because the food is actually cooked to order and the cook takes pride in his creation). I will definitely be back. read more

I have been ordering from this restaurant for multiple years. The food isn't bad and the employees "were" nice. Last night I called to order my usual order and was unsure if I was calling the correct restaurant due to the fact that I recently switched to a new phone. I attempted to ask the young guy employee questions about the restaurant to make sure I was calling the right place. This employee was the most rude and nasty employee that I have EVER talked to at any restaurant in my entire life. He said he had only worked there for two months and it clearly showed in his customer service. I will never order food from this restaurant ever again!!!! Horrible customer service. Got the door closed in my face while trying to ask for some sauce got completely ignored and had to call the restaurant for her to come to the door again. She then tried to say my order didn't come with sauce and then when I told her I have gotten some before she came out with one small packet and then shut the door in my face again. For American traditional Chinese styled food it is great for delivery. The cover all the basics of any standardized Chinese food joint. The wings have to be one of the best. If they came in flavors that would notch them up to a 5. I load on a Sunday and nosh all week. This has been great for the great lockdown of 2020. Chinese food is a matter of taste. You might go to a place that you don't like and then see a bunch of five-star reviews on Yelp. That's the way it is with Asian cuisine. We liked a place not to far from here with a little old man cooking in the back and a little old lady working the cash register. We loved that place, but they retired, and the place was never the same since. We've tried other places. This place we like. It's a tiny little place. They probably make their living on carry-out and delivery. They only have a few tables inside. It's in a shopping center parking lot. Nuthin' fancy. But the food is great. I had a hankerin' for some teriyaki chicken, and it came with rice (steamed or fried - I got steamed) and veggies (broccoli, cabbage, carrots, onions). I love me my veggies, and they were good. They were fresh and steamed. The teriyaki chicken, what's there to say, it was teriyaki chicken. The meat itself was cooked perfectly, nice and tender. Precious got the kung pao chicken, and that was a surprise. They included a lot of veggies in there too, green peppers, carrots, scallions and bamboo. And instead of the dried red pepper providing the heat, they put in jalapeno slices. I love jalapenos. And the chicken was great. Tender. Not overcooked. And it had a hint of some type of flavor. I thought it was basil, but they told me they didn't put any basil in there. But it was a pleasant twist. So we've found another place. This will be our go-to Chinese place now. read more

Ok this is my update/edit to my original review. I had to deduct a star. Going to the hibachi steakhouse can be expensive. This place is sort of the in-between. On my first trip, I tried the hibachi shrimp, and my friend ordered the chicken and steak. Overall, $9 or so in change was not a bad price for the servings they gave us plus a drink. No complaints on value for sure. The shrimp was tasty (#22), no complaints there. You can tell the shrimp has either been frozen, or defrosted and got a little mucky, but thats just texture I guess. The steak (#20) was also decent meat. Its no filet mignon, but for the value, its impressive quality. The chicken was meh, some fatty pieces, some good pieces, but the steak and shrimp were really better quality. The menu is pretty big for a small place so there's plenty else to try. I am sure some items will be hit or miss, but from what I tried, I am satisfied. I tried the Mongolian Beef today and I was VERY disappointed. I posted a picture. Essentially for $10 I got 90% onions (to which I am allergic...I realize that it is in a lot of food, and cooked onion I can bear since the acid content has been cooked out thoroughly and I can pick them away from most dishes without incident) and 10% shredded beef. I can't believe we paid for that. At least the sauce was good and I just dumped it over my rice and ate it that way instead. Still, its no Panda Express, thank god, whose food is dry and under heat lamps. You can see them cooking it. I was not blown away but I was also more impressed than I expected to be. This is a good lunch option, or budget option for hibachi. Its in between the sort of higher end Pei Wei and lower end Panda Express. A good median, I would recommend giving it a try but just realize some items will taste like run-of-the-mill food court food. read more

Checked it out for the first time this morning. They say they open at 11, walked in at 10:50 and got no weird looks ;) Food is very good. Big portions, fresh, not greasy. THEY ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO COOK BROWN RICE. Most places, the brown rice is still hard and crunchy. You're supposed to soak brown rice longer so it gets cooked all the way. Here, it's fluffy and not crunchy at all. Got the Chicken and Steak combo. Both are juicy, tender and not crazy salty like most teriyaki-esque places!!! THE BEST THING? THE WHITE SAUCE. I don't know what it's called but it's in these squeeze tubes.........it's so good. i want to put it on everything.
