I'm always surprised this place is still in business. I guess their customer base is people who haven't realized Oriental Garden is right down the street. We've given this place a few chances, but it disappoints everytime. The food is bland and inconsistent. The staff acts like you just killed their dog everytime you walk in. We just donated a $35 IMO The young man who took our order was courteous and respectful. He correctly called back our order, which is the only aspect of this establishment that warrants at least three and a half stars. The interior of the restaurant emits an unpleasant odor reminiscent of fresh paint or formaldehyde. When I inquired with the cashier, he denied that the restaurant had recently undergone a paint job. However, I strongly advised him to investigate the source of the odor, as it was clearly not normal. Undoubtedly, it is advisable to avoid this establishment. Day 2 on the quest for GOOD Asian food in Loganville. THIS AIN'T IT! Pupu platter should be renamed Poo poo platter. Everything was overcooked and more than likely from an earlier cook, because it wasn't fresh. The shrimp with lobster sauce mysteriously included imitation crab, but I didn't see or taste lobster. The wife had plain lo mein noodles that were stale and oily. The Thai basil beef was not spicy as requested, and also had no Thai basil seasoning, and was greasy. The pork egg rolls were soaked in grease and inedible. We are going to go for a third attempt tomorrow and if it fails we will travel outside of Loganville to enjoy restaurants. Absolutely horrible food! Everything was stale including the fried noodles. Only the white rice was edible. All the food tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. Basically, we had to throw out everything. I figured the wrapped fortune cookies would be okay, but they weren't. Maybe they were old or some cheap brand. I walked in one day and I'm not sure about you but I am aleays aware of the health inspection score upon entering an establishment. So when I walked in the first thing that caught me was the fact that it didn't smell anything like Chinese food or any food and this was a Friday evening. As many of you know Chinese restaurants are usually a very big hit on Friday evening. Secondly, I was looking around for the health inspection notice and it was nowhere to be seen so after the lady at the counter got off the phone I kindly and politely asked... where's your health inspection score? and she gave a little chuckle and said Oh 74, no problem no problem. I've been working here for a little under a year now. I absolutely love it. My managers are cool, and always quick to fix any mistake they make. They do everything they can make people feel welcome. The food is amazing, my favorite is the Spicy Thai Fried Rice. It's a comfortable environment, and the other cashier whom I work with is a dear. She is super sweet and is genuinely concerned with her customers needs. I'm so glad that I got this job and learned about this wonderful place. For sure, I've made mistakes and gotten flustered when I didn't know what to do in a situation, but most of the time people are so wonderful and forgiving.
