I wish I could give 0 stars!…read more Just a heads up about our disappointing experience with South Lake RV's customer service. We bought our brand new travel trailer from them nine years ago and used their winterizing service every year while it was parked at a permanent site. This past winter, they left the slide out extended and did not lock the door. In January, the door was found wide open, likely causing it to bang against the trailer and shatter a window. They admitted they did not bring the slide in and told both us and our insurance that they had left it open, but claimed the mild winter should not have caused any damage. Later, the service manager told our insurance that the slide had been leaking for years, which we strongly disagree with. I place rodent deterrent in that area every fall due to a previous chipmunk issue and it was completely dry in October. The damage was isolated to one corner of the slide. Other discoloration was from previous rodent issues and glue left over after removing carpet in the spring. If it had been leaking for years, we believe the damage would have been far worse. The insurance adjuster agreed based on photos that it did not appear to be long term damage, but ultimately said he had to go with the statement provided by the South Lake service department. Additionally, the toilet had black slime in it as if someone had used it during winterizing and not flushed. The service rep also suggested that someone may have broken into the camper and caused the issues, but that explanation did not make much sense to us. Unfortunately, the situation resulted in us receiving no compensation for the damage, and we had to sell the trailer at a steep discount, losing between seven and nine thousand dollars. We are sharing this in hopes of helping others make informed choices about where they take their RVs for service.

We were only able to find this at Willies RV, the price and model were unbeatable. We were hesitant of purchasing from another state because we did not have a tow vehicle nor did we want to spend the money for the drive or tickets. We spoke with our salesman, Bert and the Financier, Josh of how we would purchase this RV, and ultimately have it delivered, to another state so far away. Not only that but we wanted a third party inspector to ensure the RV was everything we wanted. Bert, Josh, and Ryan, the service center lead, all worked together and made themselves available every step of the way. They went above and beyond to help us purchase the model we wanted, have it inspected, and then have it delivered a couple thousand miles away. The entire process was seamless and so fluid you would begin to question why anyone would even need to make a purchase in person. The team was caring, empathetic, understanding, and made sure our every need was met. They made themselves available to every single phone call. Evelyn, their receptionist was one of a kind, never agitated or dismissive, always eager to help me out no matter how many times we called (and we called a lot, enough that she knew who was calling even before she answered). Josh was there and communicative through the entire process of purchasing the vehicle. Bert was always friendly and helpful. Ryan was incredible at answering every question I had and was accommodating to our inspector. Their service department has been top notch and extremely knowledgeable. Tony, our delivery driver, got us the RV without a scratch, and despite a few snags upon delivery was kind, eager to help us park it (even got his truck stuck a few times because of our yard), and went above and beyond to help in any way he could. Overall the experience surpassed, and continues to surpass, any expectation I could have ever had. I cannot recommend Willie's RV enough, and if you are in another state and see an amazing deal, have no worries because the entire team will work their butts off to get you what you want and in tip top condition.

What a Shit Show I…read morerarely leave negative reviews, but after nearly two years of dealing with Willie's RV, I feel it's important to share our experience. We purchased a 2022 Jayco Jay Feather 25RB from Willie's RV two years ago. At the time of purchase, the camper itself was only two years old and had only one previous owner. We were excited, but that excitement quickly turned into frustration. On our very first camping trip, we discovered multiple water leaks under both the kitchen and bathroom sinks, as well as behind the shower. The leaks caused the interior wall paneling and trim to bubble and become damaged. Willie's agreed to repair the issues, but the quality of the work was unacceptable. Replacement boards were cut with jagged edges, splintered in several places, and the finished product looked rushed and unprofessional. They acknowledged the poor workmanship and agreed to come back to our home to correct it. Months passed with little communication despite numerous follow-up calls from us. One day, while packing the camper for another trip, I went inside my house to grab a few things. When I returned, there was a man inside my camper looking around the bathroom. No one had called, texted, or knocked to let us know they were coming. Having someone unexpectedly inside your camper on your property is unsettling. I expressed my frustration and explained we were leaving in just a few hours. He finished the work, left without speaking to me, and the repairs still did not restore the camper to its original appearance. Later, the clear coat on the front cap began peeling. We had purchased an extended warranty specifically to protect our investment, but the warranty company denied the claim. To their credit, Willie's agreed the damage should have been covered and offered to repair it themselves. Unfortunately, that became another nightmare. We dropped the camper off at the end of the 2025 camping season (around October/November) and didn't get it back until April/May of 2026. During that entire time, communication was extremely poor. We constantly had to reach out for updates because no one kept us informed. At one point, my husband was told the camper was ready for pickup. He drove an hour to the dealership only to discover the front cap was still peeling--even after they had supposedly refinished it. He turned around and drove another hour home without the camper. We missed our first scheduled camping trip because of this, despite Willie's knowing we had plans. They refinished the front cap a second time. When we arrived together to pick it up, we found swirl marks from sanding, gouges in the surface, blemishes trapped beneath the clear coat, and decals that had been installed crooked. It was another poor-quality repair. We were incredibly frustrated but had more camping trips planned, so we reluctantly took the camper home. Before leaving, we asked them to charge the battery since they had possession of the camper all winter. They hadn't. A charged battery is critical because it powers the trailer's emergency braking system. They initially assured us they had replaced it with a "new" battery, but we later ended up purchasing a replacement ourselves after it failed on the way home. After one camping trip, my husband contacted Willie's again because the body work was still unacceptable and would negatively affect the camper's resale value. They agreed the previous work wasn't satisfactory and said they would send it to an actual body shop this time. They picked the camper up at the beginning of June 2026. It is now the end of July 2026. We were supposed to have it back weeks ago, but we continued getting the runaround. We missed yet another camping trip because our camper still wasn't returned. I couldn't get a refund for that reservation, so Willie's reimbursed us since the delay was entirely their responsibility. Today, my husband drove another hour to pick up the camper after being told it was finished. When he arrived, he was informed it actually wasn't done and that he would need to wait another 1 1/2 to 2 hours. This has become a pattern, and it's simply unacceptable. The most frustrating part of all of this is that we genuinely love our camper. What should have been an exciting purchase has instead been overshadowed by poor workmanship, lack of communication, repeated delays, wasted time, missed camping trips, and broken promises. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how a company handles those mistakes that defines them. Unfortunately, our experience with Willie's RV has been one disappointment after another. We have tried to be patient, understanding, and reasonable throughout this entire process, but after nearly two years of ongoing issues, I can honestly say dealing with this company has been an exhausting and frustrating experience. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what we have. Update: Willie's did end up replacing the battery, and the final work was done well.
