We are an active duty military family on vacation from Texas and just outside of Rice Lake we had turbo intake hose on our 2025 GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4X AEV blow. We were 70 miles from where we were staying and found this GMC dealer online. Desperate, we went inside and explained our situation. We had no other vehicle, we were 1400 miles from home, and 70 miles from where we were staying, with zero options. We were stranded. Samuel, our service advisor, said he would need to talk to the manager Mel and see what they could do as they were booked solid. Samuel and Mel were able to squeeze my car in the very next day, despite being booked solid, and provide us with a loaner vehicle so we could make it to our lodging for the evening. This dealer was a lifesaver! They repaired my truck the next day and even let us keep the loaner car an extra day as it was our 25th wedding anniversary and we didn't want to spend it driving to pick up the vehicle. This is exactly what you want every dealer to do, but very few would go above and beyond like the team at Don Johnson Motors and Rice Lake. You saved our trip, our truck, made sure we weren't stranded, and even made sure we had a happy 25th anniversary. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys truly are the best!!!!!!

This shop had a quick response time via Messenger and when I called for an appointment they were friendly and offered me options to accommodate my work schedule. The heated seats were done in the amount of time they estimated and the price was exactly as quoted in advance. Obviously I'm no expert, but my husband and I were extremely happy with the quality of work done and would not hesitate to go back to Olson's for any other work on our vehicles.

I explained that it might be a full recovering or an easier repair and did not want to make the drive if they couldn't do what was necessary to fix the seats. They said bring them in and we will get them done quickly. In addition, when we brought them in the guy who checked them in said they look repairable and if not, it is standard covering that we have in stock. He said they will be done at the end of the following week. I told them I will be putting the boat in the water in May so take extra time if need be. We heard nothing from them, we called first week of May, they never tagged the seats with our information and they did nothing with them. The gentlemen on the phone was extremely rude and said we would have never agreed to fixing them as we are busy. When my wife reiterated the conversation she had at the drop off, he said that didn't happen. He admitting not tagging the items and that they have been sitting there for a long time, when asked, could get them done soon he said no way. I am a business owner and I understand mistakes happen what is unacceptable is the extreme rudeness and attitude to my wife and also the unwillingness to try and come to a conclusion. Voices were never raised on our part and we offered them extra time and we were never rude. They on the other hand did not tag the items, told us and then reconfirmed the due date and then had the audacity to be extremely rude. Save yourself the trip to the shop and quote by phone, if something goes wrong on their part, expect nothing but poor service and attitude.

About a year later it wasn't closing properly and they adjusted it at no charge. Early summer 2026 it started to leak and cause a sensor to go off saying the door was open, but it wasn't . Turns out the door never fit properly because the Toyota replacement door was the problem as confirmed by research showing other auto body shops have had the same problem. When I left I felt it wobble and brought it back immediately she looked it over and had Jason auto repair mechanic look it over and they said I had a tiny bit of play in the ball joint and that was causing the wobbling, I told them it was not doing this before and she sent me on my way anyways. Feeling that it was unsafe I took it to la point tire and has them look it over and they informed me of her mistakes. I called to let her know and she offered me 5$ what a joke!
