They cut down my large pine tree safely and professionally, and also ground the stump so thoroughly that you can barely tell the pine tree was ever there. I have used three different tree service companies in the past few years. One was very high end (meaning expensive) who were excellent. One was the least expensive who were way less than excellent. Linger's prices were right in the middle of the two others. Linger Lumberjacks were very professional, very respectful and a pleasure to work with. Great service, great crew, very reasonable pricing, timely, all around very helpful, highly recommend.

They quoted us a price for tree removal and grinding the stumps away. They left stumps under the piles of wood hops and never returned to finish grinding them. They also created deep ruts in our yard which would have been understandable if they were taking out our trees but they entered our yard and drove across our grass to get to our neighbors house without our permission. I spoke to both the owner and an employee about this and I was promised that they would send someone out to take care of the cuts that they left. After a year later the ruts are still there and no one has been out to repair the damage that they left in our yard. I would not recommend them as they obviously do not keep their word, and once they have received their money they no longer care about customer satisfaction. read more

Mixed results. Contracted to take down four full grown trees. Arrived with lots of guys and equipment. Got it done in three hours. Good cleanup afterwards. Reasonable price all around. The three trucks in my drive all dripped oil on the concrete. Not a deal breaker, but it doesn't take much to slide a piece of cardboard under the crankcase either. They brought the big crane in over the side edge of the driveway, and cracked the concrete in three places. Also broke a piece of flagstone in the walkway when they set a tree trunk on it. Nothing major in either case, but avoidable. Also plenty of deep tire marks in graveled drive and yard for us to take care of. The stump removal guy that they use left plenty of cleanup work behind as well. Wasn't expecting that. read more

Linger's Lumberjacks recently removed a very large maple tree in my backyard. This tree was perhaps up to 70 feet tall, multiple branches, with a spread of about 30 feet. Nelson Linger provided a reasonable estimate (I had 3 of them), and they scheduled the removal. I was very impressed with the work they did in removing this tree in 1 day. They removed all of the brush and the wood, and they ground the stump a couple of days later. Well done, highly recommended. read more

Lingers was the third place we called for a tree quote. They were the middle for pricing but seemed more reliable than the lowest. They completed the job in one day where others quoted two. We were really happy with the work. Make sure you ask for a clean up service or you'll be stuck cleaning up hundreds of pounds of wood chippings. They also don't let you apply a discount with financing so you have to choose which is more important to you. read more

Linger's Lumberjacks did some work for my next door neighbor in Akron this morning. They blocked our driveway with their truck and chipper/shredder equipment and left a mess of branches and shredded tree debris in our driveway and front yard without cleaning it up. I haven't had a chance to talk to our neighbors to see how they felt about the service, but the mess they left on our property was unprofessional. read more

We had 3 huge spruces that needed removed, and one was in the electrical wires. We called several places for estimates. Most wanted extra to service the tree in the wires. Their estimate blew the other guys out of the water! It was very reasonable for what they had to do. They really have the proper equipment, they had a huge crane and they were able to park out on the street and simply lift the trees out after they were cut. Cleanup was good, they raked up well afterwards. I will be calling them again soon, as I have more trees to do. read more

I have used Lingers on a previous occasion and was very pleased. I needed them again recently and called Nelson Linger, the owner, to get an estimate. He said he was out of town and wouldn't be able to get to it until August. Told me he could have someone out there within the week and that Nelson would send me a bill. That was fine. They were to do the work on 7-09-17 but called that afternoon and said they couldn't get it until the next day. I said no problem. I had a Cleveland pear tree and two other branches that I myself cut down and placed facing the street for chipping. No cutting on there part. They came on the 10th, finished and wanted payment for there services for $400.00. For 25 minutes work. I called Nelson and asked him if he thought that was reasonable. He said that is what he always charges for that service. No compromise what-so-ever. Buyer beware, always get a written estimate even if you think they are your friend.
