Both were so well balanced, the salad especially refreshing and charming. I had never eaten pancakes that were so dense yet fluffy with a crispy edge. You don't know how good High Lawn Farms milk is, until you don't have it any more. If I lived near here, this is the only place I would get my dairy. Now, the ice cream! So, so, so good! It's not overly sweet. The flavor is just right. Again, not over done. It's 'light'. I don't know how to explain it. I got two scoops and when I saw how much ice cream that was I thought I'd 'never be able to eat all that.' But the ice cream texture is light, not heavy. It's still creamy, but not in the same way as my local farm made ice cream is made. It's light and those two scoops were just the right amount. The store offers more than milk and ice cream by the pint. They also sell a selection of High Lawn farm cheeses and frozen cuts of beef among other things. Besides the store and the ice cream trailer, you can visit the cows and calves in the barn. There are also older calves in the field by the ice cream trailer that you can pet. They come right up to the fence looking for pets. Anyway, you can see I am a fan of High Lawn Farm. Go. Don't think about it. Go. Get the ice cream. Get the milk. Compare it to your 'regular' dairy. You'll understand.

After telling us that there would be a 30 minute wait and as we were walking away, he quickly came outside to let us know that he just had an online cancellation and could seat us immediately. 3. Menu - 3 out of 5. When we asked if the salmon could be cooked medium rare, we were told that it is all cooked the same regardless of request per direction from the owner. When asked if salmon fish and chips were available we're told that while it is a great idea, it was not on the menu and never has been. Prices too high for menu items available. 4. Food Quality - 1 out of 5. I had fish and chips. Fish appeared to be frozen cod. Breading was not "to order" and fish was cold (not warm) giving credence to a frozen product that had been under-fried. Fries were stale and also reminded me of frozen fries I can get at any supermarket. Cole slaw and entire entree was tasteless. I tried to add salt but the salt shaker was clogged from lack of use and attention. The other order was fish tacos. No flavor, even though the server said they were spicy. NOT! The fish in the tacos also reminded us of frozen fish sticks and had cold/frozen areas on them We also had lobster bisque as a starter. This was the sweetest "bisque" I have ever tasted.
