The crew came and cut down the tree, took them 2 days and then their machine broke and we had half a tree in pieces on the front yard they finally came and after that the guys came to grind the stumps. One guy working, the other guy standing there watching him. They ground the big one and then the small one. No raking to see if they got it all. My husband checked one of them and found a big piece he missed. He came back and got that one. Going forward 3 weeks we our getting the wood chips removed, our yard evened out and grass planted and boom...their machine hits a big part of stump hidden under all the wood chips..then they find 3 more that are not ground down under soil. My husband calls the owner( Greg) and he changed his number?? I looked it up and found another number, he answers and says I'll have the guy out today or tomorrow....that was Saturday....no guy..Sunday...no guy, then he texts Monday and says he would come that day..again..no guy...it is now Tuesday and he isn't answering his phone. Didn't get what we payed for and apparently he doesn't want to make it right. NOW we are having to pay for someone else to come grind the pieces for us... I hired Lindsay Tree Service company to remove four oak trees from my backyard, with a quoted price of $10,000. The owner ( Greg) requested a $5,000 upfront payment to guarantee the job, even though work had not yet commenced. When the crew arrived, only one individual was actively cutting trees while the others were tasked with clearing debris. On that day, he requested an additional $3,500 as they began their work. Ultimately, they managed to cut down three-quarters of one tree and a limb from another, leaving the job incomplete. Moreover, they caused damage to my yard and fence, and left debris scattered throughout my property. Despite numerous calls and texts, the owner made only two visits, each accompanied by excuses for the delays. On one occasion, I observed him and his crew working on a tree in my neighbor's yard. When I inquired about the status of my project, he provided yet another excuse and subsequently failed to return, effectively disappearing with my $8,500. Upon contacting the city, I learned that tree service companies are not required to be licensed or bonded. I then reached out to the state and confirmed that this individual is not licensed or bonded. Consequently, I am pursuing legal action against him. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company. It has come to my attention that he often underbids to attract clients but is notorious for abandoning projects and absconding with payments. To complicate matters, I was referred to him by his son. Please conduct thorough research before hiring any service, and remember: if the price seems too good to be true, it likely is. Lindsey tree service is awesome! they arrived on time , they did a perfect job, they are precise and clean and quick. they removed branches form a high tree near a neighbor that was dangerous and they did it PERFECTLY. they ar so professional. they cleaned yard better than before without asking them, they even shoveled snow and salted my walk just to be nice...didnt charge me. Initial trimming of some overhanging branches looked good, but I was confused as to why they disappeared without a sign or any followup messages/pictures as promised. After the recent storm, we discovered that a large tree in our back yard was rotten at the roots but great at the top. Advice from an arborist said to take it down. Called a bunch of companies, Lindsey came out the same day I called. He gave me a quote that was much less than we feared and what others quoted. He promised to come back in two days and take the tree down. Wow! He came when promised. Crew worked diligently for over 6 hours in a difficult and crowded area with power lines running through the tree. THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST! Don't listen to the other review! On 8/24/23, an EF1 tornado tore through the east side of Cleveland and send a massive tree through our house. A representative from Lindsey's came to our door after seeing the damage to give us a card, and within hours after calling, their whole team showed up to remove the beast. They even installed tarps over the holes! They quote they gave us was incredible value, too! Lindsey's Tree and Stump Services is excellent. I called Lindsey's Tree and Stump Services, they came out in a timely and professional matter. The company provided a reasonable price for the work. A rain storm blew in followed by snow after the weather cleared up in a few days they were at the house cutting the tree down. More importantly, Lindsey's Tree and Stump Service worked until the sun started to set. WORST business we have ever hired. They were rude, talked crap, left trash, and never completed the job. They started a tree removal job for us that was stated to be a 3 day project, and that was at the end of June. They repeatedly pushed back doing any further work after the tree was brought down for weather reasons or lack of showing up with the correct equipment. They left us with branches, the whole tree cut up all over our yard, giant holes in our lawn. They took our fence down as well and broke several metal posts. When they returned to replace or fix things they brought no replacement parts or even a hammer for the posts. They actually tried to use a rotten random log to hammer the posts into the ground until I insisted they leave and come back with the correct tools. They all were terrible, just wouldn't ever communicate when they were coming or what they were planning to do. We got to a point where they left things half done and weren't answering our calls or showing up to complete the job. We thought that was the end of us seeing this company. To our surprise, the owner showed up one evening after 8pm banging on our door demanding we pay him full amount for his half-assed incomplete job. Needless to say that didn't go well. Here we are now at the beginning of August and they keep randomly showing up unannounced on our property for no reason. This happens every week or two and we are tired of them thinking they can come and go as they please. They have no more work to complete because they were not meeting our standards, and they are not letting us know when they are arriving or why. They absolutely should never be walking through our yard without permission to be here. They just all around did an awful job being professionals and destroyed our backyard and neighboring yards TWO houses over on each side. Neighbors are not happy and neither are we. read more
