Premier's arborist visited my property to provide a quote and indicated that I would receive it either that evening or the following day. During the visit, the arborist observed pruning cuts made by Premier approximately three years ago and expressed concerns about how the branches had healed. He stated that he would discuss the situation with his company to determine the appropriate next steps. Since that visit, I have not received a quote or any follow-up communication. I have contacted Premier several times seeking an update, but to date, I have received no response. The actual tree removal SERVICE was perfect: The team was professional, swift, they put boards down to protect the grass, cleaned up leaves and debris afterwards. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars was SCHEDULING; they scheduled me for 9/28 and said they would confirm 24 hrs before. I didn't hear from them at all 9/27 nor 9/28, I contacted them 9/29 to reschedule. They gave me a date that didn't work. I contacted them twice more to finalize a date. I can't say enough about this tree service! First, their pricing. I had three estimates to prune my River Birch. Premier's rate was far below the other two. Of course then you worry about what type of service you would receive with a significantly lower quote. However, my fears were dashed meeting John and Andrew. John introduced himself and asked me about my tree pruning needs. After explaining my issues with the tree he went straight to work. Once their pruning was completed, he and Andrew cleaned up my yard. They even picked up twigs from the tree that had fallen earlier in the week. I scheduled Premier last summer to come out to give an estimate to trim my mature oak tree the following winter. The quote was very reasonable for the job that needed to be done! They were very busy and the job was schedule for a couple weeks out but when the top of one of the trees came down between the two houses they came out the very next day. This past week I received a notification that my neighbor was at my door. He left a recorded message to let me know that a tree in my yard had uprooted and was in a precarious position. When I called Premier, there was an option to "press 1 if this is an emergency". I pressed it, and Eyton answered the phone. I explained the situation and that I was at work and unable to survey the danger. Eyton agreed to meet me that evening at my home. When he arrived, we surveyed the area together with flashlights. He was able to assure us that the tree would be stable until morning. At 8:00 am the next morning, the Crane Crew arrived! I don't know how they did it, but they managed to get a crane through some serious tight corners without disturbing anything. They moved the tree back into our yard with skill. What a relief! They put boards down to protect our lawn as much as possible and put the large logs by the road. The next day the Log Pickup took the logs away while we were working. This was a big locust tree, and they were out of here in under 4 hours. This is a professional, highly skilled, highly responsive crew. Thank you all for helping us out! Valerie has been here several times to assess removing or prune trees for me. She knows her trees!! The guys that come to prune the big trees are so nice and considerate. They did a horrible job trimming my pine trees along my driveway. I asked for the branches to be trimmed enough they no longer touched the cars as I pulled in and to not touch the garage. Instead they trimmed over half of the branches from my trees. Leaving me with essentially palm trees. If they don't die from the poorly planned trim job, they will still have to be removed as a safety issue now. they are so top heavy, it will only take one storm for them to potentially fall on my house! I do not expect this from a professional company. I hired them bc I don't have knowledge about trees, and I trusted they would do what was best for the health of my trees. I needed a very large tree removed from my property and contacted about 6-7 companies for quotes. Premier Tree were by far the most professional company in terms of proactively providing all requisite insurance, etc. with the quote. I didn't have to ask for anything! My only suggestion is that they do a better job proactively communicating. For example, while they did indicate the timeframe for getting scheduled (I think it was between 3 & 5 weeks, but don't quote me), there was complete radio silence at 8 weeks. I actually wondered if they'd forgotten about me so I had to call them. And the day they were due here, they were late but no one called me to let me know. Again, I had to call them. That said, once the appointment was rescheduled the crew was great... on time, knowledgeable, friendly and did a great job! read more

I was very pleased with this tree service. They answer the phone when I call and they were friendly and professional. I appreciated that they came out to my house and gave me a quote the day after I called. I was even more pleased when I ended up paying less than what I was quoted, since part of the tree ended up being healthier than we expected and didn't need to be cut. This made me really trust the arborist and the company overall, as they could have easily cut those branches and charged me for it. I needed a small tree and stump removed so I could put up a flag pole. When the sales rep (frank?) called me to ask which tree was to be removed, I had to tell him a couple different times that it was the tree closest to the house. He seemed confused, so I finally said there were only 2 trees in the front yard, and it was the tree closest to the house. He asked if they were hauling the branches away. I said yes, take everything. Then he asked me if they were removing the stump. I said yes and the grindings. He then asked if they were removing the shavings from the stump (seemed distracted ). I said yes, I'm putting a flag pole there, and I need that stuff to be gone. Frank obviously didn't hear that last part, and he omitted the stump grindings removal from the invoice. I didn't notice this until the job was finished. I should have paid a little closer attention to the emails (no paper estimates) but I knew what services I wanted when I called and I knew EXACTLY what I told the sales rep, so I was more focused on the price we were negotiating rarher than the emails because they were fairly high for such a small tree and stump. When I called the company to explain the situation, the lady was rude and ready to argue. She was very condescending and was being a smart alec all while telling me they would come back and remove the grindings for $250. Seriously?! Oh, and their truck left an oil spot on my driveway. What a great job these men did for me. Not only did they trim a branch that was hanging in my yard, the tree is in my neighbors yard. This man was about 40 feet in the air when he noticed that the tree was damaged in a place that you couldn't be seen from the ground. So he took pictures, 40 feet in the air, to show me. They really do care about trees. They cleaned up all the tiny branches and blew the leaves away. I am really impressed. I will recommend Premier Tree Specialist to everybody. read more

I honestly should have known better. But it was an emergency situation. A Maple tree fell on my house during a wind storm in late March, 2023, puncturing the roof. I wasn't home when it happened. Dave, from a tree removal company I can't recall at the moment, was at my house before I got there. He was talking with the Fire Department. He was told that I was the home owner, and he approached me saying me that he could get the tree off the house, he has a crane truck, and he deals with insurance companies all the time. After contacting my insurance company, and getting approval to use his company, he left to go get his equipment. Someone else called me after that, identifying herself from Premier Tree Specialists. I called Dave to be sure that I should be working with this woman from this other company. He assured me that she handles his billing. She sent me a contract to sign, and then called back shortly after to push me to get it signed, as the crew was waiting on me, they were ready to leave. I should have known better. But, I signed. The crew arrived shortly there after. They got their crane truck stuck in a low part of my driveway at the road, causing a sinkhole that cost me $5,000 to fix. They then proceeded to cut the top of the tree, and attempted to move it off the roof of the house. However, they cut too large of a piece, and couldn't get it over the top of the house without hitting the house, or setting the truck off balance. After watching them fight with it for 25-30 minutes, I told them to drop the top over a hill in my back yard and get on with it. They did, and removed the remainder of the tree from the house. They cut and chipped up the majority of the rest of the fallen tree, except what I asked them to set aside to use for fire wood. They were done and packed up in about 2 hours. They assured me that they would be back the next day to clean up the rest, and cut down the part of the tree that was still standing (approximately 9'). The next thing I heard from them was a bill for just under $16,000. They never returned to cut down the rest of the tree, although their contract says that all stumps will be cut to within 12" of the ground. They charged a 10% haul away fee for chipping and removing the tree; however, they left half the tree over the hill in my back yard, and I spent 30-45 minutes cleaning up the debris they left laying throughout the yard. They contacted me several times to discuss their payment. I deferred to the insurance company due to being so offended by their invoice. They were even reminded about their failure to fulfill their end of the contract by leaving the stump. They assured the insurance company that they would get in touch with me the very next day to schedule to come out and cut it down; which they absolutely failed to do. In the end, they got what they wanted - a big fat check from an insurance company. And I got the short end of the stick - a higher insurance cost, a mess to clean up, a bill for a new driveway, and a 9' tall "stump" in my back yard. The entire experience left me feeling exploited and abused. And while the $16,000 didn't come out of my pocket, I know I will pay that and more into insurance premiums for the rest of my life because of companies like Premier Tree Specialists. They made $16,000 for 2 hours of work, and took advantage of a homeowner in an emergency situation. I'm am not only outraged, but seriously disappointed that businesses will act like vultures when someone is in need. read more

Not Recommended. Within a couple of weeks after they were here initially, I had a small trailer load of dead limbs that had fallen out of the same tree. I have been trying for over two months to get them to come out to resolve this issue that I had after I paid them to remove the dead growth from my tree. Finally they responded that they were not responsible for cleaning up additional dead growth falling out of the tree. I now have to hire another tree service to clean up what they wouldn't. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. I initially felt confident with my decision to hire Premier Tree Specialists, but was quickly disappointed that they cancelled scheduled and rescheduled dates four times. The automated text and email reminders were utilized by Premier to remind me of the upcoming scheduled service, however, they did not contact me to tell me they were not coming. I missed several days of work to be home and was very disappointed that they did not reply to my phone calls, emails, or texts on the days of scheduled service. One cancellation in particular - tree service was scheduled on a Saturday and eventually Anna called and said "I don't know how that happened, we don't work on Saturdays." Well, the automated reminders do, just incase you are wondering. Another cancellation was interesting because the automated cancellation system identified inclement weather, only the day was one of the most beautiful cool sunny days we had this past spring.
