Took my mother out for lunch to this place - next to the gas station- AMPM - looked kinda sketchy but it is totally adjacent with its own door and parking spaces on the side - looks like they have a lot of regulars that lunch there - staff is super friendly and welcoming - big TVs for small seating space which could be nice for games or music videos - food is as authentic as Mexican home cooked meals get! This is the spot for breakfast- lunch- and dinner! Their agua fresca game is on point! Hot coffee for Mom was on point! Hot sauce and chips to snack on point! We got combo fajitas with side of rice and beans and some tacos on the side! Everything made with holy woman hands for sure!! Please go eat there now!

Phenomenal Service and good, outstanding hospitality and delicious and wide variety of food And environment. Can't wait to come back

Came to have lunch after taking our dog to the vet and it was a great lunch. I had an horchata and torta de asada. I noticed many people getting the pozole which looked good on a rainy day. It is self seating and connected to a gas station for restrooms. The location has about 8 or so tables ranging from 2-4 seats per table. The service was great, the chips and salsa were refilled so quickly. Prices are decent. My husband got a burrito and a taco de chicharron- he thought it was going ti be crispy chicharron but it was covered in a sauce, he wasn't a fan but said the flavor was okay- just did not like the texture.

Fish and shrimp soup

Came here for the first time for breakfast on a Friday morning. This place is located right next to the gas station. When I got there around 8:30 am, they were pretty busy already. I tried their fish and shrimp soup, and their taco with pork. They told me the fish soup will take about 15 mins to prep and I'm okay with it since I saw a lot of good reviews with their fish soup. The soup tasted awesome! Shrimps and catfish were so fresh and it was a reasonable portion! However , their taco with pork was not to my expectation. Not bad, but just not as juicy as I thought it would be. I'll come back to try their other food on their menus! Their prices are quite reasonable!

Staff was AMAZING. Knowledgeable about their menu and what they offer. Food... BANGING!!!!! Most authentic Mexican food in town. Clean, happy and welcoming restaurant. Not fast food. And DELICIOUS!

Old cheap tortillas

The place has a great caldo PICTURE ONLY . But when u order it they charge the rice separately n give regular tortillas tortillas. According to to them to get the hand made tortillas n rice u must eat there. That makes no sense. Such a ripoff. The caldo is not cheap for the old chicken they give you. N without the add on for the price not worth it. Este lugar tiene una foto de caldo muy a pétente. Pero si lo ordenas para llevar te cobran la orden por separado y te dan una tortillas bien corrientes. Solo si te sientas te ofrecen todo. Estonces ordeno y luego me lo llevo?

Cabbage to make up for the lack of meat in the pozole.

Paid $17 and change for large pozole but they forgot to add the meat. Found two meat bones a slice of meat and hominy to last me until tomorrow. The tacos are on decent sized tortillas but skimpy on the meat. They are very generous with the cabbage . If you want meaty pozole this place is not for you. However if you like extra large hominy and cabbage and want to spend more money than buying it at the store this place is for you. And raw the meat was raw to get your money back you have to return the food so here I go back again because I did not pay for raw meat (foot) I didn't taste it because it grossed me out.

Chips and salsa for dine-in customers.

This restaurant is located next to the gas station on Limonite in Jurupa Valley not far from the local Walmart. The customers are typically locals, often rancheros, who enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and we'll prepared cuisine. I'm always on the lookout for new spots and was impressed the first time I walked in to pick up an order for Uber Eats. When time finally permitted I dropped by on a weekday morning and the friendly host directed me to grab a table. Complimentary chips and salsa arrived quickly and I perused the menu for anything unusual, even though I planned to start with a wet-style carne asada burrito. I liked the oregano and chili pepper condiment tray to season your meal, and the salsa was a nice consistency and roughly medium in heat. When my burrito came out it was hot and fresh. I requested both sauces to try the first visit and both were fresh preparations for red and green dishes. The carne asada was nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly, too. Next time I'll be more adventurous, but I confirmed they'll be on the radar screen in the future.

Was pretty disappointed. Today I came at 7:35pm and they closed when the sign says 8Pm and the "open" sign was lit.

Is there a connection to the Las Vegas restaurants? Same owners or families?

Good question, I highly doubt it. I believe the shop is owned and operated by the chef and his kids

Do they have an English language menu? I don't read or speak Spanish

Yes

Best fish tacos by far. Very friendly staff. Small place can be hard to find but well worth it.read more

Google Maps turns you into a dusty asphalt driveway where, in the front is one stucco building that might have been someone's house at one time, and in the back is one very worn, almost sleazy, one-story building where three tiny Mom & Pop businesses compete for space. There is nothing fancy to see here, with the exception of the tiny, covered patio at the entry and a claustrophobic ordering counter on the other side of a sliding glass door. The patio walls are lined with bamboo, a couple taxidermied blue marlin, and some seaside-themed, tropical decor. There are maybe 4 tables and a cluster of chairs. I imagine, in the heat of the summer, it gets pretty hot and uncomfortable in here. And yet, reading the food reviews will make your heart go pitter-patter. Their specialty is mariscos with a Baja spin. Ceviche, shrimp cocktails, fish soup, fish tacos and burritos, to name a few. They also have swordfish and salmon on their menu. We came for the fish tacos and were we in store for a surprise! The chunk of fried fish in each taco was as big as a huge chicken tender. Our tacos were filled with moist, great tasting white fish (not tilapia)! The tortillas, hence, had to be the larger size, not street taco sized. The batter was crispy and exceptional, with a light, herbal flavor. The finishing touch was a pile of toppings, including shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, finely chopped cucumber, and an insanely delicious white crema-mayo sauce. I think the unexpected cucumber added a unique, refreshing element to an already excellent taco. The only downfall was that the corn tortilla fell apart before I could get it into my mouth. Heh, I can live with that...just give me a fork. If you thought the price of 1 taco ($4.50) was too expensive, you are wrong. One taco here is the equivalent of two tacos elsewhere. That's a great deal! This is not fast food. The fish is cooked to order. Plan on a wait. Although this is essentially a covered, outdoor dining enclosure with a dutch door style gate, please note. Pets are not allowed. There is no pet-friendly section, nor shady areas to park in their bleak parking lot. The irony of this was the number of off-leash dogs we saw wandering around the parking lot. We saw three small to medium sized dogs, and no owner. We ended up bringing our food and personna-non-grata pup home. They did a nice job with the fish tacos, and one of their customers assured me the fried and/or grilled shrimp tacos and mojo de ajo shrimp were excellent. This means only one thing...we shall return, but without the chihuahua fur baby.
